1/6 scale Ryu

Hi all,
1st of all I'd like to thank the master Vince-Vell for help and support in this forum and some others.

This is the 1/6 scale Ryu resin kit by prototypeZ.
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful Ryu ever produced ( my opinion ). I agree with you, there are more cool Ryus, but this is my favorite.
This is no.83 of 150 pcs.

I'll start with some Wip shots ( sorry not from the beginning )
The will be made by me ( Mohammed Al-Hadhoud )
And the base by Fahad Al-Duwaihi.

After checking, test fitting and then washing, the parts are ready for assembling and filling the gapes and fixing issues with putty.

I have started drilling holes in the joints as you can see in the photo there are many holes but not too much ( pins are not required )
The holes will be filled with 5mins epoxy, and it's going to really strong.

The 2 legs parts were attached 1st, then with upper part of the body.

Now the head is ready for drilling.

The head was attached just like I told you.

Testing the arms because in this step you will have adjust the pose to fit with the Hadoken.

After that spraying, then checking if there are some issues that needs to be fixed.

After that the skin tone applied, the the clothes after leaving.

And then after protecting the layers with semi gloss just to give the skin sweat effect.
Then another layer of skin tone to make it better.

After the airbrush, now it's time for some brushing and dry brushing.

Started with the eyes then the hair and the costume

It took some time but it was fun even at work

At the end, I added some washing.

Ryu now is done and ready.

It's time for the Hadoken

I decided not to fix the Hadoken because the details of the hands are really cool.
Also I don't have strong magnets to hold it.
I took a metal clothes hanger and and adjusted it to fit the pose.
I drilled 2 hole, 1 for the base and 1 for the Hadoken.
As you can see it's a yellowish clear part, I wanted to make it just like or close to the original one.
I gave the clear part a gloss coat as a primer, then added some white touches to give the light and shadow look,
After that I gave it a clear blue color, and the result was cool.

Wow great job. Did you just airbrush one shade of Flesh tone first, and all the shading and tone changes were done with washes? Looks very good. Love how the Guantlets look too.
For some reason, Ryu's arm alwasy looked a little stubby to me, but I now realize it's when the Hadken is placed on his hands that it gives me this illusion. It looks perfect like that with Hadoken slighty away. Awesome work.

For the skin color, ( what I have done ):

1- I sprayed light gray primer over the kit.
2- then I sprayed white color in the middle of every single muscle to give the light and shadow.
3- I mixed 4 colors white, clear red, clear orange and flesh. Small amounts of all colors but at the end it depends on your taste.
4- I gave it a semi gloss clear coat, it pops up the colors and more than that it will give the sweat effect.
5 - the color became more orangish, I sprayed a mixed color ( white and flesh ) in the middle of the muscle just like the 1st white I sprayed.
6- after that a brown color as a wash.
I used tamiya enamel brown color.

If you would like to add more effects you can use powder pastel colors ( if you would like to add more light and shadows )
