Went with nightcrawler.

My only reservations are that XM has steered away from doing overly dynamic pieces so far (where there was a really good opportunity to do so) so if they were to go with another fairly static piece as they chose for Dr Strange / She hulk then I probably would think twice. For a more static pose I'd probably be inclined to go for someone like archangel where his wings would help give some movement to the piece (as they do for the Phoenix statue).

I appreciate the difficulties dynamic statues present but Nightcrawler, as with Spiderman, I think warrants with movement / something the outside the box. Without it it's a wasted opportunity.

Likewis, if they'd had a few more dynamic pieces under their belt or even as WIPs then I would have 100% gone for gambit with him unloading a load of his cards but right now I don't see XM doing something like this:

Sideshow actually did a nice Gambit, so he wouldn't be at the top of my list (I actually own it, so I'd probably pass on an XM Gambit. Probably. Don't temp me :) )

I'd like to see someone new, so I went Nightcrawler. But Iceman (this could be really cool) or Beast wouldn't be far behind.

If you're releasing already existing 1/4 statues, Cyclops and Mystique would head my list. Oh, and a bad ass Emma Frost (no one's really gotten this one right)

Would also like to see XM take on Emma, Jean and Storm. I'm fine with SS's Gambit, Rogue, Psylocke and Colossus. There are a number of others I'd pick up.

Also a XM Sentinel would probably blow away SS's dancing version but would probably cost a fortune. One cool idea could be to do a Build-a-Sentinel program with a different part with every statue. That would be a fantastic bonus. Now that would probably get me to buy them all.

I'll give you 1 out of 3. The hair and paint are excellent. Back when quality was still a priority to Sideshow. The Jim Lee portrait is the only one that sees the light of day for me.

I'll give you 1 out of 3. The hair and paint are excellent. Back when quality was still a priority to Sideshow. The Jim Lee portrait is the only one that sees the light of day for me.

Have to agree with gomur. I have the SS Gambit PF, it's one of my favorite statues and has one of the best overall paint jobs of all my statues, especially since the paint on many more recent SS statues isn't quite up to par.

My only gripe with the PF is the slight old face, particularly on the cigarette head. Of course XM could capitalize if they made a more dynamic pose but part of the greatness of the PF is its simple yet effective pose.

As far as the secondary market, the PF is worth what people are actually paying for it, which is well above $500 at this point since it's a much loved PF. For us foreigners it's not like the eventual XM won't be expensive.

I voted Rogue. The best option 1/4 scale for her right now is the SS Rogue. That one has been on my wish list but given its QC issues and given its plain base and pose I would love to see XM deliver a piece that captures her femininity and balances it with her power on an interesting base.

Each XM X-men piece so far has managed to capture the essence of the character it's portraying and I think they could do something awesome portraying how badass Rogue is.

No baddies on this list!? If they did Magneto, I think baddies should be included and Apocalypse would be my choice. Especially with the movie coming. Never liked the Sideshow version, Bowen`s is perfection, but we need a 1:4 scale better represented. Sideshow did great with all the details, but I think they missed the mark when it came to the overall look. I know a lot of folks enjoyed that statue, but I`m in the minority that just didn`t see enough to purchase it. I think XM would do something interesting and creative. Only thing I`d be worried about with XM producing one is which version Marvel would allow them to sculpt...classic would be my choice!

Thing I hated about the Sideshow head sculpt was too much forehead. I can only imagine the possibilities of switch out parts with XM!!!

I change my vote from shadowcat to colossus. He is my favorite..i just dont have a kitty yet. After further thought , i would much rather own the big C. I just hope it could be a year away. Im so straped with all the pos i have on xm already.

You are right, there are endless possibilities, we all are aware of XM's Magneto and how SICK that turned out and now wip Quicksilver, if they are going with the 1st family then Scarlet Witch should be next, that statement made Hypothetical , Juggernaut would be insane and Apocalypse, don't get me started but there are others that I have always thought would look very Cool done in 1/4 scale, Domino, Spiral, Psylocke, Sabertooth, Omega Red, Onslaught just to name a few others that need the XM treatment, along with all the switch-out hands, portraits etc etc.

Could do a poll for villains, then when the results are in (or at least a large number of votes in for good guys & bad guys) a new list could be created combining the most popular of the two. Bit like a tournament :)

Probably a bit of overkill for some but could be interesting to see how it pans out.

I read somewhere that he would have a Japanse rooftop base, which would make a Silver Samurai on a similar base a nice complementary piece in my opinion.

I know how much of a Emma Frost Fan you are my Friend but she has been know for her deceptive ways and ties and affiliations with The Cabal, Hellfire Club, Hellions, Generation X, Dark X-Men, Frost International, Phoenix Five just to name a several and her ties with the X-Men are about the same but some still consider her a "Bad Bad Girl" some whould say she is only Good when she sleeps :laugh::laugh::laugh:
