Sideshow Gladiator Hulk modded

[El Diablo]

This was a great piece straight from the factory however it did have a few areas that needed improving. Firstly that belt was terrible, nothing like the proto so i made a nice real leather new one. Secondly the shield whilst awesome covers a little too much of that awesome sculpt so I made it swap out for an axe and glove spikes. Though I did make it so the shield can still be put in place as it does look great with it. Lastly the paint on the majority of the statue was fine but some areas needed improving. The shield and (especially) the base were a little flat so both have been completely repainted. On the base originally I missed the shards of broken sword they were literally the same colour as the rest of the base so I gave them a chrome effect, weathered them and added a rust effect round them. The shield I just made look like the proto and I also repainted the arm and shoulder amour.

Looks great. I always felt the shield although very nice hid the majority of the sculpt from view.

Man, that is insane. This is one of my fav statues and I too felt the shield covered up so much great detail. I wish I had your talents to do something similar because it makes for a terrific switch out option.

I quite literally have no idea where I would even start. I don't have space right now for a work area, I don't know anything about materials, I've never been artistic unless it's music. Maybe one day I'll get the nerve and some fun money to try something out.
