Who wants a Silver Surfer from XM? He is one of my favorite character! The character always fascinates me with his never-ending love to Shalla-Bal and with his nobility! Such a powerful character in all terms! Please share this poster if you think the same with me on facebook page of XM Studios!

i was looking for an SS as well. but if you calculate the cost of chroming it would cost as much or even more for the SS variation!

i think i might wait it out.

Does the non-chromed normal look that bad? Or did they not use metallic paint at all?

I would love a Silver Surfer. Pretty much my main Marvel comic.

If they could figure out a similar effect to what they plan on doing with Quicksilver running it would be awesome.

At this point this would pretty much have to be chromed for me.

Non chromed Surfers don't look bad at all it's just chromed looks so much better.

If they included a standing pose and flying/action pose like Quicksilver though I would still pay a premium price and get them chromed myself.

I think this would be a fairly simple sculpt and paint app so getting the two poses would be amazing!

I want a Surfer. I wasn't in love with the comiquettes pose or seams. I also feel it shows more grace than power.
I have come to appreciate that piece more after it's been chromed but I would be very interested to see what XM would do for him.

I would love to see an XM Silver Surfer. I never cared for the Sideshow until all the customs showed up with it chromed. Then I realized the mistake I made.

Surfer is a must! In fact, IF / WHEN XM delves into phase 3...it should be nothing but Cosmic characters and 1 or 2 Spidey characters thrown in between.

Here is the 10 cosmic characters XM should tackle:

1) Silver Surfer
2) Gladiator
3) Nova (Galactus Herald)
4) Nova (Richard Ryder)
5) Loki
6) Firelord
7) Enchantress & Executioner
8) Beta Ray Bill
9) Hercules (he's an Olympian..so that counts)
10) Captain Marvel (Kree version)

So many more, but these would suffice. I could always throw in about 20 other characters like Annhilius...but the 10 are good enough.

I really like and have owned the Bowen action Surfer. I thought it was awesome after having it chromed. I wouldn't mind a very similar pose in 1/4 scale.

while i agree it would be a waste in 1/4, it isnt boring at all imo. just a museum pose. the chrome statue by bowen is what got me into collecting.

The reason I'm not looking for an SS version right now is that I'm hoping XM announces. I wouldn't want many embellishments other than chrome. The main things would be the finish, pose and base. Translucent power cosmic would also be nice.

Fox owns the movie rights. They have no say about a comic statue. This would only affect production if Marvel adopted the same stance they seem to have about the FF now.

I might be in the minority here but I prefer a non overly muscled Silver Surfer. More similar to the Ron Garney, Mike Allred or old school Jack Kirby approach as far as smoothness and not being extremely chiseled. He's an alien. Yeah, humanoid alien under the Silver, but I prefer when he looks a bit more alien. Having a super strong guy who doesn't have nor need extreme muscles emphasizes that for me.

I think that's why even though I'd prefer XM do something a little more action, Bowen nailed their Silver Surfer at least in the style they chose. Those big alien eyes, muscled but not to an extremely high degree. Physically, I hope XM's isn't too far from that. And I think I mentioned before, chromed :).

I agree. I have the chrome silver surfer from bowen and it's perfect. Please give me a Buscema Surfer. On board, holding board, fine. Neutral or action, just make it Buscema style. Like you said smooth and humanoid alien, not hulked out.

I thought I needed an action pose but this strong, stoic pose works for me. Coming out of the portal, the paint on everything is awesome, the inclusion of Nova, Sideshow nailed this. XM would have to have an action pose that isn’t over the top and probably chrome it for me to consider it. I love Silver Surfer but I don’t need 2 of him. I’m always excited to see what XM does though.

I got the SS piece too and I’m very happy with it but I’d still be interested to see what XM would do for him. My gut tells me it would be some huge footprint and pose that I wouldn’t be able to fit anywhere but I’d still be very curious to see it.

Yup, same here. Got the SSC Silver Surfer EX.

I'm curious to see what XM does with this too. But I'm more than satisfied with what I have. So XM will need to wow me to get me interested.
