Hi, Kira. I have my DOTM Optimus coming soon. I was wondering if the edition size will be cutted as is so high and many collectors are turned off by it. I know this statue is very intricate and expensive to make, but the ES is way too high and there 2 other versions of AOE Optimus coming also, plus these are movie/ Bayformers. I can only offer this and Bumblebee or maybe Lockdown, but that is it for me.

Are you guys making AOE Lockdown too and when will we have a preview of it?

How come Prime 1 doesn't do direct sale to international collectors instead of having Sideshow as a distributor and paying them a distributing fee? Optimus prime was big learning curve for us and big headache for us. The edition Size reflect this. We will do better ES for future projects. Please note that Transformers projects are very expensive to make and need a lot effort to able to produce it. Hope everybody can understand.

First Prime has much more parts than the new one.
The big factor that the first is much more fragile so many small parts need to take care well for production.
The new one is much more sturdy and much less fragile parts. Finally no accessories are in include for the new Prime compare to DOTM.

With AoE transformers, you guys have achieved a high level of détails (especailly that these versions are more compacts and do not need parts like previous Transformers in movies 1, 2, 3).

An AoE evasion mode Prime rusty would have been good though.

Too bad (and Lucky for my bank) you do not have the Japanese Saint Seiya movie licence.

That said we will talk to our production team and see what other ways we can do to improve the packaging.

I'm going to chime in on this as well. It is a seller's responsibility to send you what you paid for. That being said, if it gets damaged via shipping, it is their responsibility as well to either replace the item or refund the buyer the full amount (product plus s/h charges). This does not mean that they have to replace it. If it's an item that can be replaced, I'm sure there's not a problem to do so but limited edition items or vintage items at times cannot and the seller cannot be blamed for that. If so, that means that one would expect for sellers to make an unlimited amount of pieces to make sure every single shipment arrives without issues which of course, that would mean they would operate at a loss. But, they do have to issue a full refund. If the seller does not do that, the one has to rethink if they want to purchase from them. Before purchasing, always ask what their policy is for damaged items from shipping.

ECC/CM have the biggest, heaviest boxes that I've ever seen since coming into this hobby. That being said, I don't hear too much about breakage on their items. Might be something for Prime to consider as they start pushing out more products costing over $2k. Sideshow boxes don't change, whether it's a $5k item or a $200 item.

I just recieved Optimus Prime EX and the left eye on the battle mask does not look good and wobbly on it's slot hole, also there's a 1/2" unsanded patch mark on the base.
Sideshow replied that there no replacements but offered me an in house credit for future use, fix it yourself, or return the whole statue for refund. I just wanted a new head and base because this is an absolutely beautiful/grail piece to me.
This is a very expensive item over $3000 US for us international customers. Since this is Prime 1's product, how do you feel about this?

Plus they would buy more from you because they can fit more into there display cases and space will become an issue. Right now any thing over 18" can not be put into most shelving units.
