1/4 Arnold, Changes Needed, Opinions Please!

Just got back from a screening of Terminator Genisys.

The Movie is amazing, but our version of Arnold didn't make it into the film for whatever reason. We have the CGI files of this exact pose.

So do we release it with him holding the gun or change it to me screen accurate?

Haven't seen the movie yet, so without knowing what the other options might be, I'd say keep it as is.

The current pose (with gun) looks awesome and I don't really care if that specific pose didn't make it into the final cut. I mean it's not a stretch to have a battle damaged Arnie sporting some hardware.

Besides, that scene might still make it into the blu ray Directors Cut :D

I say go for it Paul! Who better to know how it should look then you. If you've seen the film and want to make it as accurate to the film as possible then go with your gut. The Arnold you have currently is badass though!!! In Paul I trust!!!!! Will he still have battle damage or maybe even more endo showing on his face?

I'm mixed. Seems a shame to change it at this point, but I'll go with it if it spares my bank account some more time. What kind of change are we talking about here? A complete redo pose or just details? I have to admit, the weapon is my selling point for a Terminator piece. I guess I'll have to see the end result and decide!

How about adding another headsculpt (no battle damage) and the shotgun in his hand, plus add the hoodie to the jacket. The shotgun in a switch out hand, then he can be displayed with shotgun and complete face or no gun and battle damage.

I love how quick you guys have been getting this proto up before the movie but it's ultimately ended in changes, delays and disappointment.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Seems like a lot of work just to scrap it but I understand why you're doing it.

I'm gonna see the film tonight but I would say change it since you guys are about screen accurate pieces and displays. Esp with the files it should only be a matter of reposing it and printing it. Would be really cool to make a final stage version of arnold.

Well let me just say I can be like other companies an not share anything until the product is released. We got this product right, he just doesn't use the gun when his face is chewed up. So we're changing it, I'm doing it so we have a screen accurate version, but if you like the gun, well you can display it that was as well.

I won't make any promises or deadlines moving forward, I'll just go back to saying soon ;), I'm learning guys...

Just curious What are the dimensions of the poster? Theatrical one sheet size (27x40), Mondo size (24x36) or Sideshow size (18x24)? Is it a screen print?

Yeah.. I learned a long time ago to ignore a lot of what goes on in that forum. That place seems to be full of trolls. There are a some there that just want to complain no matter what. Got nothing better to do I suppose. Just trashing things, rather than offering any constructive feedback.

Most intelligent/reasonable people can grasp the concept that there will be things that are out of your control.
Delays? Revisions? these aren't 'bad' things.

This is Chronicle doing their best to deliver the most accurate product possible.
I'm sure the real collectors out there can appreciate and respect that.

just got back from seeing the film. not as bad as the trailers make it seem. endos dont come out much but when they do they look amazing. cgi was great. dont know who published thos magazine pics but they should be fired.

I know it's going be rubbish (26% on Rotten Tomatos last time I looked) but part of me will still enjoy it as its an Arnold movie.

Sometimes Rotten Tomatoes is wrong, but the majority of the time they're score is pretty accurate.

example:
The Terminator -100%
T2 - 92%
T3 - 70%
Salvation - 33%
Genisys - 27%


personally i would make T2 in the mid to high 90's, take T3 down a point or two. Salvation right where it is. and the Terminator is the Terminator, so that 100% score is accurate.

Trying to see it ASAP, Turn up the juice and see what shakes loose.

I saw it with some pretty rabid Terminator fans and we all agreed that the film paid a lot of respect to the first two films.

We also agreed that even with a few silly moments it's a good film. I'll be watching the box office, that will tell us if we'll get more films or not....

I read somewhere that the studio is going for broke and will move forward with making two sequels regardless of how well this film does at the box office because the franchise rights revert back to James Cameron in 2019 or some such. I am not sure how true that is though.

On a side note, it looks like regular audience viewers on Rotten Tomatoes have given the film a 72% so far.

It'll be interesting to see if it beats Jurassic World this weekend.

The trailer reveal about the John Connor twist is annoying, particularly because the director was not involved in the decision apparently.

He talked about how the studio did that without his permission, he even tried to fight them on it. Damn shame.

I dont pay attention to reviews on anything because critics are incredibly stupid. That being said, if I were to go off of anything it would be the normal audience viewers, which are grounded in reality. They are always higher than the former critics. 72% sounds about right.

The other forum's thread on the movie is a total hatefest, hoping that the movie fails big time. They think they know everything about it and there's no reasoning with them. Ignorant purists, what a joke.

I'm real happy you decided to include both hands. Honestly, if the weapon had been replaced outright with these, it would have taken away a lot of the cool look it has currently. And a variant just with different hands obviously wasn't ideal. This is a win win situation for all of us.

I am interested in seeing a young pops though if he exists in that form, haven't seen the movie yet but we did get a glimpse of a young Arnie with sunglasses and shotgun in hand in the trailers.... That would make for a great statue.

I think a switch out Endo arm would be cool. But you'd have to shred the jackets arm since I think that was acid that funked up the t-1000 and Arnold arm. I did like it better than pt-2.

Thanks guys, I thought they respect paid to the original films was well done. The first thirty minutes are pretty awesome even with the sappy areas of the film.

Loved the first half of the movie but did not care for it when they got to 2017...just didn't work for me, especially the main villain. Overall I was disappointed and enjoyed T3 and the T-X more.

I still may buy the Arnold statue because he was good in it. Looking forward to the changes.
