We are traveling to the GameStop convention in Vegas this weekend and we are unveiling several exclusives from Borderlands 2.

I'm interested in Moxxi, not sure if it's just throught Gamestops or whatelse. Also, I guess it is PVC, right?

She's mixed media, Resin and PVC for her coat tails, waist belt, holster and right hand.

As soon as the production sample is approved I'll post pics. In a side by side comparison so far everyone has picked the China sample as being our prototype.

Nathan nailed the paint job and the factory nailed the production paint.

This is the first in a series of 1/4 figures we are producing exclusively for GameStop.

The UK and AU versions will be different.

All of our Borderlands 2 pieces were made using the original STL files from the game including Moxxi. Our Digital Artist Dean Tolliver did a great job on these, we are very happy with the end results.

Moxxi looks outstanding, Paul! I really love this type of piece and didn't realize it was a Chronicle piece. Great job!

Will Gamestop be seliiing these in their stores too or just online? Let us know how to order when the time comes.

I've collected 1/4 scale PVC from Japan for years. They are super cheap compared to the resin SS 1/4 scale statues. They look the same from a distance though. Solid PVC at ~$200 is very fun to collect at that size. Much less change on breakage too.

This looks super nice. Would like to know if it'll be available in Europe and at what price and through what channel (UK/Germany?)

Only the delicate parts will be made from PVC, the coat tails, belts, hair and hands.

The real power that GameStop has is their ability to order 5000 units. At those numbers we can get the prices way down and acting as a partner who wants a long term relationship, we don't need to make all of our money on one product.

GameStop plans on 1/4 figure from many game licenses that we've been working on per quarter.

We are offer twice the product and half the price...

Love Borderlands but would never spend $300-400 each and then have to collect the line. This price point is fantastic, could care less about the ES.

EBGames has seemingly had most of the Gamestop exclusives (or at least the ones I have kept track of). Having said that worst case the American site ships to Canada, and at a decent rate to boot.

Yeah really shows you SS is ripping people off on some of it's prices, especially on their Man of Steel which was 100% PVC... I'm not saying SS should of sold it at $120 but maybe $200 instead of $380....

I think the difference here is that the Chronicle Gamestop statues are being funded by Gamestop. They are buying it in bulk so Chronicles knows everything will sell and what have you. I'm guessing Gamestop handles the distribution too Sideshow is producing it on their own and handling the distribution.

I won't pretend to know a lot about economics though. This is just my guess.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like from the thread that it might have been a clean break and the neck between parts. Maybe the red ines can be pinned and repaired. I had to that with my GG Sucker Punch Blondie as came decapitated.

Hopefully the factory will fix any problems with th pqckaging and put a metail pin her neck when they glue the head on. I would always pin my part on my garage kits.

Got my Moxxi fairly late today. UPS dropped by at nearly 10PM.

The Moxxi figure is 100% PVC while the base is resin. This statue looks good from the sides and the back, but the way the coat tails were done looks bad from the back. As the owner of other PVC statues from Griffon, Daiki Kougyo, Megahouse and more, I have seen better execution of PVC design, construction and paint. Overall, the statue is not bad given the relatively low price and large size. The base has a scuff on the front end and the figure has some paint scuff marks on her right upper leg and the bullhorn. The paint application on the stockings is sloppy as there isn't complete coverage. The factory should have taped the two haves of the plastic protective shell together so it wouldn't shift in the box. Here are my pictures.

Holding it in hand it has weight and smell of PVC. I own the line of 1/7 scale Kotobukiya Star Wars troopers and the density is same as that. Plus I had flexed the arms to see how rigid they were. The figure definitely does not have the same density as the base.

I'll check it out again when I get home.

Also check out Chronicles video on the original Moxxi that got recalled. Maybe that one was resin. Definitely had a different packing design with foam instead of the vacuum formed inserts for protection

Why is her face a different skin color then her chest? I believe she doesn't look that way in the game.

I guess you can't complain to much for $120, but IMO it's QC is bad enough to pass even given the low price.

She has a powdered face in the game. So yes, her face is a different color than her chest. But the painters should have limited that color to her face only and not her neck.

And I checked again. The figure is 100% PVC.

She is mixed media, we needed to do this because she has very delicate parts that could never be cast in resin and survive shipping.

The Purple version is the only one available as the other edition sold out quickly.
