Robin looks perfect; in tone and style. Love that the hood can bee manipulated, as I prefer it on myself.

Kudos for the design of his base as it really captures the spirit of the character when compared/coupled with Batman. Love that there is some "optimism" on the gargoyles faces and that there is more than one to indicate that he is less solitary than Batman. Bravo P1!

No issues passing on this. Not a strong exclusive and they knew it hence the low ES.

Low ES not reason to buy a statue nowadays. Lots of people trying to dump their 1:3 scale Ryus in Facebook collector groups are learning that lesson.

Low ES is just a plus. Buy what you like and you don't have to worry about the baggage. With the Ryu piece- they are flippers.
You can't dump what you dont have. Acuma is still selling for above retail. I doubt Ryu will be different.

Well we all said no transfers on all pcs stuff but it didn't go through so oh well. not because I care about flippers enough to worry me. But because some is blaming flippers like life and death here. I guess if I'm looking for a trade for the first pcs 1/3 sf I missed then I'm a flipper too since it's still new  but I really don't care since I'm not breaking the law. It's legal to trade or sell things in all hobbies. As for this robin Gkad he sold out fast shows promise in the line.

Honestly, I really can't see adding Robin to my collection. Space is already an isue for me and he is jut not high enough on my want list for me to buy a Prime 1 Robin. That being said, I think Robin is ultimately just another character that looks outstanding in the arkham version. I am just a huge fan of the entire Arkham line. I think it has some of the best designs I have seen to date for many of the characters. Again, Robin just isnt a character I have a lot of interest in.

I am still hoping for an Arkham City Catwoman.

Though I prefer 90s Drake.

Classic Tim Drake 90's fits with the Sideshow PFs.

Damian Wayne in 1/3 scale would fit well with these video game versions.

For me, it's a wardrobe styling thing. I'm probably in the minority on this, but I prefer Robin's outfit over Nightwing's. Robin actually looks formidable in this rendition.

I jumped on the waitlist for this one to give me time to decide if I want it, and the opportunity if it converts.

I agree that I think it's redundant with Nightwing, but from what we've seen so far, I like this piece better than the Nightwing (that may change), and I'm betting that a Nightwing PF from Sideshow is more likely down the road than a Robin.

That said, I'm still undecided on both, and I'm just jumping on the waitlist to hold my place at this point.

It is a cool design, though. Like the colors. Will definitely go very well together with Batman.

Not a lot of comments recently about this one. What does the rest of you think? He is scheduled to ship quite soon.

Harley was planned till ship in nov-dec(?) Robin jan-mar and two-face mar-may...

Has anyone received him yet ? Looking forward to some detailed reviews .

I got him and hopefully everyone is smarter than I was.... I can't believe I broke one of the pieces. That's the first time that's happened. Pretty stressful putting together a $1000 puzzle. :)

Really, most probably won't have an issue. When I look at the pieces now, it is plainly obvious. It really is one of those "spot the differences" game that little kids do and I failed. There was one hole that one of the metal rods goes in and the rods are differentiated by different shaped notches. This hole looked to have the same shaped notch and I missed that the piece I needed also had the upper part of the "black" part of the staff - huge difference. This is while I kept staring at the remaining pieces and wondering what they were there for. So stupid. I put the metal rod into the staff, it was a tight fit, I tried to back it out, it snapped apart and left the bottom of the metal rod in the staff hole. <sigh>

I hope I can get replacement parts.

I'm not the one to be the source of decent pics - this camera sucks and my lighting conditions currently aren't great. But, here are a couple of not-great pics just to give a general idea until someone posts some better ones.

You should spend some time styling the capes. They'll look a million times better.

The set looks great.

Thanks BrandonJF,

Sorry to hear about the problems/breakage of the staff. Also for the heads up about it.
Hope you get your replacement soon.
Photos look great.
Love the red combo with the yellow of the cape. That's how I will have him next to bats.

Exclusive or Collectors ? Yours.

Cheers.

Its a good character design.
They've somehow managed to convert possibly the worst superhero costume ever into something decent.

Personally I think they should get rid of the cape altogether and just have yellow highlights in the lines of the red armor pieces.

This is why I like this Arkham line so much. The video game Origins and Knight (not Asylum or City) have the best character designs to date. I know that they aren't the 100% iconic look, and I understand that most people won't want this specific version of the character in the future, so these statues will probably lose money and be hard/impossible to resell in the future - but I don't care. They look outstanding in picture, and jaw dropping in person.

This is the version of Robin I WANT on my shelf at this larger scale. The same can be said for their Harley, Two-Face, Scarecrow, and Bane. (Sadly I missed Deathstroke.)

This line is supremely impressive and I'm so happy I decided to get this collection.

well put, agree with your sentiment. The character designs are awesome and Prime 1 has killed it with the quality sculpts, paint apps, size etc etc etc :buttrock:

Agree 100% this is the only Robin design I would want in my collection. Mine should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday and I may display him without the cape. Will post pics with and without to compare.

I'm ok with Batman's cape just falling down (and I don't think I have the space right now to do much more with it). The Robin one I have messed with since and it does look better now. No wires in the middle of the cape, though, so it seems like it has to billow out some.

I really must be out of it today. As I'm verifying everything else fits properly, it finally dawns on me that every friggin' hole in these staffs are a different color. I look on the bottom of the metal rods and guess what? They are color coded. So, not only do they each have different "notches" (even though one of the holes does not look drilled properly so one of the notch slots that is supposed to be there wasn't), but they were color coded. :doh!: It may not have killed them to actually mention they were color coded on these assembly instructions, but still.... When you're using the right pieces in the right orientation, these will fit without force.

These do look amazing. If I had room for Nightwing/Batgirl, I'd probably pull the trigger. I've currently got Two-Face, Harley, Batman, and Robin, with Scarecrow and the Arkham Origins Joker on order. I'll end up with Catwoman at some point, then I'm out. I really don't know what I'll do with a Hush line.... I'll be in trouble. I'll have to pretty much get rid of everything else I have to make room (and pay for it).

I got the EX even though I'll never display that unmasked portrait. It was tough boxing up the "angry" portrait since that one was my favorite... it seemed to pair better next to Batman with the more neutral portrait, though. I'll have to break it out at some point.

I wouldn't worry about that. The design/production/ship times are so long that it'll be 2 years before anything Hush related actually reaches your door.

Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents on this since I recently received it. A great statue design although not as complex a piece as the Arkham Knight or AK Bats. Highlights are definitely the head sculpt (I have the EX) and paint apps. Low sides would be the cape (which has a metal pin covered by a rubber tube going in a hole above the chest) and the Bo staff (which takes some work to make it align straight and can be confusing on which piece goes where). Overall, if your a Batman AND Robin fan they look great together. If your a Robin fan a no brainer buy it. In my opinion, with not so strong a following for this statue or maybe Robin in general you may not see many Robins in 1/3 scale. It also adds some color standing next to Bats. By next year your only option may be at the mercy of an ebay seller. Who knows! Good luck!

The statue is excellent, and the only representation of Robin I've liked to date.

A few pics:

The cape can be shaped to get a nice effect

The details on the head sculpts are excellent. The buzzed hair has a lot of texture as well
http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=348714&d=1498107506

and the red on the armor is a deep blood red color. Contrasts nicely with the yellow under the cape
http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=348715&d=1498107525

the minor details on the suit are impressive. They've used a dark olive green to pay tribute to the classic red, green, yellow comic robin suit
http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=348717&d=1498107611

You can see the chain mail under the armor around the boots, arms and torso... another nice detail

My thoughts on the Sideshow waitlist is that it probably more reflects Sideshows inventory of Prime 1 pieces and not the actual supply situation at Prime 1. Thus Waitlist and sold out from Sideshow can be deceiving because it only reflects their inventory condition and not general availability from Prime 1, especially if it is an automated system at Sideshow. Perhaps waitlist items are those that Sideshow would place an order for a customer from Prime 1 and maybe a few extra pieces for stock. That way they can avoid some over inventories. Not to mention, no discounts on waitlist items. Or maybe it's a master plan to just charge full price on waitlist items. :)

Opened mine up. Quality control failed a bit on mine. He doesn't fit flush onto the base, no matter how much I try. And because of the shiny red paint they use, scratches are very apparent. Mine has a couple on his back. I'll try and take some pictures and post them.

I like him, but in no way is he almost $1k. He's a very simple statue. If I wasn't committed to getting a badass 1/3 Batman display going I'd have passed.

Harley felt like quality and had a ton of extra accessories, switch outs and faces.

Two-Face has an amazing paint up and fun switch outs.

Robin is just...very plain.

Quality issues should indeed not happen when you buy a 900$ statue!

But otherwise I only partially agree with you. He might not be as detailed as Harley, but he has a very very good presence in the collection and he's also very well done in my opinion. I also love the cape, although I don't like how it is connected to the neck are. The should have found some kind of different solution.

I also think that 750-800$ would have been enough for the statue, but 900$ just seems to be their lowest price for the Arkham line statues, so he's on the lowest end and that's fair.

Agree, QC issues aside this is a statue with a lot of presence. The red paint on the armor really pops and the details on the boots, gauntlets, mesh armor and head sculpt are excellent...

You must have a ton of room behind him to be able to display him with the staff extended. Because of the shelf I'm using I have to go with it over his shoulder, retracted.

My cape has a couple of hard creases from shipping. What is the best way to get them out? Steam it?

I have the full Pax cabinets. They're about 23" deep and fit these Prime 1 pieces nicely, even with the doors closed. I hope Freeze also fits, but he's freaking monster sized.

As for the cape, I tried to work out the creases with my hands, it's fine for the most part but I haven't tried to steam them. That may be the best option if it's a stubborn crease.
