Unfortunately, there's only about four characters I'd buy, and I'll likely only see one of them (Mitsurugi).

I'm just catching up on what's coming from F4F...haven't gotten an F4F statue in a while and I only have Zelda from them, waiting on 1/4 Link and a traditional Samus...

But F me...I don't need another line to collect so Soulcalibur in 1/4 is the best and worst thing to happen.

I'm going to try to resist this 1/4 Nightmare but I'm not sure if I can...Kilik however, is a must. He's my favorite. Preferably SCII P1 costume or SCIII P1 costume.

Soul Caliber 2 was the game that decided my path in life! I absolutely have to grab these.

You guys did a good job with grabbing the Soul Caliber 2 versions, I think they resonate most with the majority of fans as 2 was probably the high point for most people. If we get that purple Astaroth I will scream!

Here I was, thinking the opposite. I guess I'm in the minority. Most of the characters I want aren't in II. I hope other Soul games are possible options.

In terms of a competitive fighting game, two was the best entry for sure. But yeah my favorite characters (Dampierre and Hilde) aren't in until later games :D

Those that I'd be willing to buy might be considered bland to many, but more accurately, I'm just simply most fond of my first experience - with Soul Edge/Blade. So Hwang, Li Long, and Edge Master would be my picks (of course their later designs would be preferable).

I'm sure I'll get none of them, so I'll probably end up owning only Mitsurugi.

When Li Long was replaced by the flashy Maxi, I knew he was a series goner. Li Long isn't that memorable, but I like him.

I had thought Hwang was on the same popularity trajectory as Mitsurugi after Blade and Calibur 1. He was prominent, and the focus of early kata videos back then, teasing Calibur 1. Then just dropped for 2.

For lore and 'master' archetype alone, I'd hope I'd at least get Edge Master, of the three.

It's unfortunate about all these fighting game licenses. Several series are very important to me, but I don't have high hopes for ever getting many characters I really want. I'm already anticipating several years down the road, going the commission route.

I'm not talking about Gameplay really either. Part two came to all 3 home consoles at the time with guest characters that were much more well received than the Star Wars duo, Kratos or the Assassins Creed dude. Once part 3 hit only on PS2 and no Arcade version it was clear that things were slowing down for Soul Calibur.

Four and especially 5 were fantastic and I love them to death but part two was the height of its popularity. So much so that they rereleased it with online. I blame Namco because they do not put the same love into the Soul series like they do Tekken.

F4F choosing the SCII version of Nightmare was probably one of the better decisions they could have made since it's just so iconic. This version of him is certainly not my favorite but I can easily see the reasoning behind the decision.

Those are good points, and I agree SCII (with it's multiple guests) was the biggest hit. But for statues, it comes down to character selection first, and design second.

I haven't compared designs recently, but I may concede that SCII may be the best designs. I think I prefer SCI Mitsurugi to SCII though. And like I said, three characters I want aren't represented in II. I may be far from the norm however.

I don't understand licensing one game in a series though, if that's what F4F has done. I'm surprised Namco would even want to break things down like that.

I'll chime in on this as well. Of all the companies that I have bought statues from. F4F is the only one that delivers 100% every time. Great paint application, no googly eyes, no receding hairlines (I couldn't help it lol) and no negative changes from what was initially show when preordered. The reason I said negative changes is because they actually add more during production. Link on Epona EX ended up getting an extra head because some people weren't happy with the original one. With Link on King of Red lions they are adding more wood grain details to the mast. Samus Varia suit is getting more LED lights added than were originally shown. Wish more companies like them.

Yeah I've yet to have a bad experience with F4F either. I was worried they were overextending themselves recently, but then I got Simon and Artorias in and it showed that they are somehow managing to grab more licenses, release them in a more timely manner, AND improving their already high quality.

Got my Nightmare today. He looks awesome and I am very happy with him, but I think the colors on his paint are pretty different from the preorder shots we got. The base in particular looked a lot more eye catching than it. And while I am not a fan of light up in general, this has maybe the most pointless I have seen in a big statue. The eye lightup is very minor. I thought it might effect the base or sword as well, but it is just his eyes which you can't really even see at a lot of angles.

I do like the overall engineering and sculpt a lot though. He is large, but nicely balanced. No knee up pose or anything so the space he takes up is very honest. The base is not tall and his stance is nice and wide. He just looks great on display. Only thing bothering me is that the magnet for his arm seems either weak or very easily detachable. It seems like his entire arm is being held into the socket mostly by gravity, via Soul Edge being planted into the base somewhat. This makes for some clever engineering, but I am a little scared at the same time. I am also surprised only one leg has a peg. There is NO way he is falling over since he is so balanced though.

I'm very excited for Taki and whoever else they end up making. Overall I'm just very pleased in general. I feel like the wait for Nightmare wasn't too long and they are releasing preorders and info on this line at a nice steady pace. We aren't being rushed, and at the same time there isn't a drought. It helps that SCVI was announced so I am very happy overall with how SC is right now. VI is probably my most hyped up game of all time.

Also the packaging for this statue was amazing. F4F always does a great job there so I had high expectations, and they still blew it out the water. Despite how large and heavy this statue is, unboxing him and assembling him was such a breeze. He was so secure in the packaging too. You'll understand if you buy him. There is never any fear of transit damage when it comes to F4F.

Still waiting for my Saitama to get shipped from F4F so i haven't even thought about Nightmare shipping yet lol.

Just got mine in and it's really nice, the figure of Nightmare himself is really well done, the colour of the armour and textures on his arm are excellent.

Not super impressed with the seam on the arm but i can live with it.

The EX base does lack a little in the paint department, everything looks good just a little lacking.

Will do pics and post up my review soon and go into more details. Overall though i think F4F did a great job and it's definately an amazing start to the line.

Definitely not, some of the biggest statues i have only have 1 peg, 2 pegs can be a real pain int he ass to line up, if they are slightly out and don't fit it's a nightmare.

F4F on their Facebook and live feeds keep hinting at yoshimitsu being up soon. Please let this happen. I need it for my tekken collection but would serve as my gateway drug into a SC collection as I am really liking the pose and look for this piece

Yoshi will be soon but he will be the Tekken 3 version. They have said many times they won't do the SC version.

Next for SC will be Ivy then Mitsurugi.

Does anyone else’s statue have a fair bit of wiggle to the hair? It seemingly slides out after I push it in all the way, but at least the head seems to help keep the hair in place. I’m not sure if this is how it is supposed to be though.
