Hmm...there goes my money. As soon as they consistently get the faces right, of course. We have to see that Cable now and on the basis of that, if the same level of concept, sculpt and quality keeps coming, I am going to find it hard to pass any of them up.

In a feeble effort to try to kid myself that I will be able to limit my X-XM-purchases, here's my top 5 wishlist:

1. Nightcrawler-give us a great crouching pose in a big mushroom cloud of purple smoke (a la John Byrne artwork) on a. Sentinel part. If they get the levels right, they can make it look like he is apparating into the air.
2. Beast-blue and furry, of course. I would love to see him sculpted to be quite massive, perhaps hanging upside down from some apparatus with smashed test tubes and lab equipment beneath him or on a sentinel base consistent with Phoenix etc.
3. Cyclops-70s costume on a sentinel to match Phoenix. Alternate head with force bolt optic blast coming from his eyes.
4. Colossus-huge and shiny, no fabric, muscular as hell and with huge hands throwing a punch in your direction.
5. Banshee-big wings, flight pose, screaming through the air with sentinel parts smashing around him.

Oh...and presumably we can see that Quicksilver now. That would also be wonderful. Thanks XM!

Been spying the forums for a while. Had to create a tag and post my excitement for this Dio (fingers crossed it materializes).

Just zipped over to Sideshow and canceled Supe, WW & Batman Red Son PO's to make room. Can't be getting crazy on Sideshow when I already have Blk Bolt and Medusa coming plus this X-men license getting a new lease on life. My whole collection may look completely different in 5 years if XM is cranking out these X-Universe masterpieces.

Well, if you are referring to the diorama specifically, they will be sold in sets if you want to buy them that way. In general, when the XM X-Men went on hiatus, my pre-orders in other areas skyrocketed, so not a good time for this.

Great news. I'm down for building the Jim Lee Gold and Blue team era X-Men to go along with my slowly developing Byrne Avengers. Omega Red is a character with a design right up XM's alley. But, I hope we see him farther down the line because there are far more important villains in the X-Men universe that need to be made first.


As a side note, it still always make me happy to see Jim Lee art from these issues. Pure penciled goodness. No technology, just him.

Yes...I agree...just like Dazzler! And the crazy thing about it is...Shadowcat is really one of the most powerful and dangerous X-Men. I will never forget what she did to Thor phasing him through the floor and making him get half stuck in the pavement. :laugh: Needless to say...that would have killed a normal human...but of course...not the mighty Son of Odin!!!

See, I'm torn. I like Claremont story telling and I'm a big fan of Byrne art. But Jim Lee is just a wonder on the X-Men books.

Ironically, of all the costume designs from Jim Lee -- it's Storm's I hate the most. My most favorite X-Men ever got the worse case of hideous shoulder pads and puffy sleeves. So while I feel we all need Jim Lee designed pieces, I'm a little concerned Storm could go badly if those shoulder pads are accentuated (ala Green Goblin).

I would really like a modern Mohawk or the costume she wore for several years before that. Mostly when married to Black Panther.

For me, the Cockrum costumes are the best and those carried through the Byrne era. Those are in my opinion the seminal designs for Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus etc. The 3 X-Men statues already done would fit with those also.

Close behind are the Jim Lee era costumes, although I don't think Phoenix fits with those. Personally, I love the 70s cyclops. It's what I grew up with.

I definitely want an XM Cyclops and Storm based on Jim Lee art. I prefer the Lee costumes except for Archangel. I like the Adams/ Byrne/ Cockrum Angel and and then when he redonned the costume as Archangel. I have all of the SS PFs, But am interested in seeing XMs take.

And the costume is silver :) Lots of people thinks it's white bc that's what the cartoon and eventually bled over to the comics years after. But it was never meant to be white, it has always been silver.

Also proven if you play Marvel Puzzle Quest -- she's wearing silver there too.

And the costume is silver :) Lots of people thinks it's white bc that's what the cartoon and eventually bled over to the comics years after. But it was never meant to be white, it has always been silver.

Also proven if you play Marvel Puzzle Quest -- she's wearing silver there too.

True, it was drawn to be a very almost reflective silvery white, which I assume would have been a nightmare to animate back in those days.

I agree, but.... Honestly, so many Emma statues out there. Hopefully for once they will stop focusing on her boobs and make the rest of the statue perfect. The AH comiquette was one helmet hair away from this, IMO. The SS PF is a train wreck...

Can't agree more with this. The comi was closest to being the perfect Emma statue.
