I love Beast Wars but as any TF collector will know the toys never translated well from the show ( that's an understatement lol ) and while some of the figures are legendary for other reasons ( see Longrack ) and while they have finally got somewhere in my opinion with the MP Optimus Primal i think what Prime 1 has done here is phenomenal.

It looks amazing, while i do plan to pick up some G1 statues down the road, i may be in for this entire line....

I loved Beast Wars.. such good story-telling (especially season 2 +), and the cgi at the time was awesome.. really got me back in to TF.. do an outrageous metallic blue and this may be too hard to resist :D

This is from the final scene of the Transformers Animated Movie. After Optimus comes back from the dead he finds Megatron and - to steal Rodimus's words - goes 'Ape-Sh*t Crazy'. It's paying homeage to that. I assume that's why they added the glowing red eyes as well - after he steals the Parallel All-Spark straight from Megatron's chest.

They should put a part of Waspinator's irridescent and transluscent wings on the base, that would look stunning on the jungle enviro and I know P1 could nail the paint app. It was always my favourite thing about the figure.

Yea I get that cbg,but everyone has their favorites. And as great as it'd be to see it get made,I highly doubt it. They will stick to the few mains on season one and mabes a few of the mains from season 2. There's over 75 beast wars characters so I severely doubt they'd do them all if even a 10th of that.

I doubt they'll do any Transmetal sculpts, but I'd freak out over a transmetal 2 Cheetor or Dinobot.

I'd throw my money at a Dragon Megatron as well.

Pre ordered. This piece is awesome. Looking back on it, never really liked Primal's first transmetal look. Also, his final form was cool, but it was a bit much, lol. Preferred Dragon Megatron much more.

I wonder what other characters they have planned for the line. Personally I'd go crazy for transmetal 2 Dinobot and Cheetor.

Stingray and Rampage are only two bigger than Primal and Megatron. like Shockwave to Prime. I prefer Stringray but in 1/3 would be huge like Shockwave.

Yep. They could have just gone the easy route and not even have Waspinator's head and arm on the base. It could have been nothing but just grass and dirt but they went the extra mile and included that as well as other tiny details like the mushrooms on the tree trunk.

That Waspinator head and arm alone is more detailed and complex than some entire SS pieces :D :hilarious:. I'd like to say I'm kidding but sadly, I'm not.

The paint is more glossy than I was expecting... As someone mentioned, will look great on Eva's. On this, I'm not so sure about. Maybe a bit more grey in his fur would be nice (less jet black).

Also, I really hope they fix that EX battle mask head to be more like their original teaser. The way the mouth part sits in like that just looks off to me. It should be in line with the rest of the face plate like any other prime.

The price is crazy though. Really, how is it more than their G1 Megs and the same as their G1 Prime? Surely this is an easier build than them?

Oh, if I didn't say already, yeah, I'm getting this.

I waited and missed the order. I had decided to pass with the high price. I was planning to buy later but it sold out. Then I saw Dino metal face megaton and wow it blew me away! So it's a must own for both as a set. The memories these bring back is so awesome. These are better than the g1 in likeness. That's another reason I want these.

I thought Primal was larger than an average Gorilla, some sources online say he's around 10 foot tall so I think these are under 1:4 maybe 1:5 scale but who knows. T-Rex Megatron should be taller than Primal so I don't think they are both the same scale.

Prime 1 say on the order page they are "non scale" so I guess they couldn't figure it out either.

mine has a wobbly head and gun barrel but overall really happy with him and brings a lot of joy.

A little bit of a gripe at these things though... I assume they are meant to be broken bits of metal and not foliage, however they just kinda came out wrong. Only minor though and not really the focal point of the piece.

Is the wobbly head an issue where it doesn't stay locked into one position or is it a weak magnet? I have a WL converting and he's sold out everywhere. I'm a bit worried about space but who else will ever make Beast Wars statues like these again?

Going by the releases so far, will they ever make a Waspinator and Dinobot? Alive, of course. I get the feeling P1 is done with this line.

they wont it didn't sell well. They say people didn't buy these as fast as they would like. I would blame their high prices which kept away most people. Same will happen top some of their other lines soon. Prices are just too much they are asking. Megatron was 1300.00 shipped. But they are really nice if you liked beast wars. I have both and love them!

There’s rumors of a reboot so I wouldn’t bet against it.

You just probably won’t see them in there vintage form again.
