Ok, probably will take some heat over this, but I would much rather see a Bamf statue/bust over a winged Nightcrawler. I am not terribly familiar with that story line, but a Bamf would be much more enjoyable, IMO

I think that the winged Nightcrawler if its approved, will be one of those have to see it 1st before I decide deals.

I've never seen a winged Nightcrawler either. Must have been something that was really short lived in comics. Oh and I'd buy a Bamf statue or bust in a heartbeat.

I have been buying X-Men comics since 1985 and I have no idea what a "winged Nightcrawler" is. Unless it was something I totally missed through a crappy mini series or one shot?
If anyone can find the issue regarding this please post it as I am very interested in hunting it down as a means to gauge it visual aspects.
Thanks,
JC.

I may be wrong but I think it was in some story line that takes place 100+ years in the future where the Beast is kinda like a Mr. Sinister and has DNA samples of mutants and has made a little army of Nightcrawlers with wings and optic blasts. Don't know for sure which title or how many issues. Again, not 100% sure....

Sounds like the recent Silvestri run of New X-Men. Why the hell am I not able to remember a winged nightcrawler? It does make sense since the Beast used the DNA of multiple mutants to enhance his crawlers.
Thanks a lot.

Thats it, in New X-men #'s 152 & 153 there are tons of winged Nightcrawlers.
Some have wings like Angels and some have batlike wings.

What is a BAMF......it is early and my mind is not clear on this subject......

BAMF is the noise that is made when the fuzzy elf teleports.

I started laughing when I got to the word noise and my assumptions ran away with me, and I actually thought the end of the sentence would read "that is made when a fuzzy elephant farts"......Don't know where that came from, but it was funny....... ;)
At the risk of sounding like and idiot.... what is it?

If you ever saw the movie X2, nightcrawler was making that 'bamfing' sound left and right while teleporting to fight those White House security guards...

Way back when, in the Nightcrawler mini series of the 80's. Nightcrawler teleported into a different dimension or something like that and discovered a little mini Nightcrawler named Bamf. I think that Magik, before she grew up, had a little stuffed animal that looked like Kurt.........Can't remember for sure, PM 67wm, my brother, he is the Nightcrawler fan boy, if anyone could tell you it would be him.......

I was thinking along the lines of crawlers with angel like wings. But, now that you mentioned the demon like wings...it is all coming back to me. Awesome art work in the Silvestri run if anyone is into artwork.

Is a winged version popular enough to be made into a statue? Realistically, it's not even really Nightcrawler.
Daredevil

I don't think Randy should bother with that... I doubt the demand will be there for a character from just one storyline in the future.
A Shadowcat bust would be a better alternative ;-)

Persnally, I'll pass on the "winged varient" (which I've never even seen before) I MUCH prefer the bamf version that Randy showed us a while back.

If this is going to be based on the "nightcrawlers" from Silvestri's recent run on Xmen, I can say this will be the first piece I pass on since Randy got the license back. This one would be just way to obscure to produce, a club exclusive bust maybe. But there are just to many other characters that are deserving of the Bowen treatment before this one gets done IMHO.

Someone with computer skills needs to make a poll to see if people would rather have a winged kurt or Bamf.
Bamf all the way!

I was really looking forward to the full size bamfing Nightcrawler statue. The preview sketch of it looked really cool.

It's not a matter of either-or-
Classic 'Bamfing' Nightcrawler is nearing completion. It's going to knock your socks off.
Winged version is unlikely at this time.

Hey Randy,
Do you think that a Bamf varient could be made sometime down the line. I would kinda look like a stuffed animal, but the character is kinda cool. I don't think I have really seen much of Bamf since the Nightcrawler mini series of the 80's
Randy, will the "bamf" smoke on the Nightcrawler statue be painted, or will it be a material similar to the Phoenix full-size, where the fire and the water are made of a translucent material?
And what about Orka? (Sorry, I figured I could slip that in and maybe get an answer so I can sleep tonight)

That's great news. I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole Bamf effect Will his body be showing on both sides of the smoke?

Damn, I'll bet it's gonna look great too...*sigh*...too bad I can't get it. If I DO, then I'll just wind up trying to acquire the rest of the "New" X-Men, and my wallet can't handle that. Gonna be waiting for Namor BIG TIME though. I can't wait to see the pics of him!
You know what might work for getting the "BAMF" dool made. Maybe as a bust? That way the whole thing could beon top of the bust base, maybe the base could be the smoke. Would add to to the chances of being made (cheaper than a statue), and I can only imagine it would be faster to complete and cause less of a schedule problem tha a statue.
I think it would make for a very cool club exclusive. (Please don't hate me foreign Kinghts, just trying to think of ways this could happen)
