Gaming Heads - Bioshock Infinite's Elizabeth

Preorders opening within the next 24 hours. Super stoked for one this one personally. I really loved Infinite despite its shortcomings and have wanted an Elizabeth statue ever since, and Irrational's in-house offering didn't do much for me.

I don't think so, maybe it will be the exclusive version. But as far as I know you get only one head with GH statues. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Still, from a business standpoint, I could see them milking a second statue with the shorter hairstyle since that's probably the version most fans identity with.

I agree but still my bet is on the different weapon for exclusive version. Anyway we will find out very soon, the pre-order starts in about an hour according to GH's facebook post :)

My biggest concern is I hope they do a good job with her portrait. Since my time following their work, I haven't been super impressed with the portraits on their female statues.

Exactly, I was hoping they would make Booker and Elizabeth statues for a long time. So when they posted first hint and it was obvious it's gonna be Elizabeth, my first thought was please don't screw up her face.

The portrait turned out better than I expected, but she looks more mature than she should IMO. She should definitely look more youthful.

And you can bet there will be a short hair/blue outfit down the line at some point now. That's the version I really want.

I just don't understand the thinking behind this. Of all the memorable moments you share with long haired Elizabeth in this game - her tearing open a portal in front of her easel, falling out of Monument Tower reaching for Booker, dancing on the pier, picking a broach, getting cotton candy, Booker playing guitar with her singing, her bloodied with the scissors, etc. - they choose her default pose holding a sky-hook with Polar Express dead-eyes. It's so generic and lifeless.

What the hell kind of emotion is that supposed to elicit? Really wish some other statue maker would pick up this license and do Elizabeth justice.

I think that's the real problem with the piece. It lacks the emotion and personality that made Elizabeth such a memorable character for me.

There's certainly other iconic scenes that they could have went with like you mentioned, but I can forgive that. For me, the biggest test for Gaming Heads was nailing her likeness.

Sadly, they missed the mark as far as I'm concerned.
