This line is looking fantastic! A lot of 3D wips have been done already, can't wait to see them. Batgirl is so detailed and has so many switchouts like Batman, and Bane looks huge.

Aesthetically, this piece is gorgeous, and the design is wholly original. From a practical standpoint, the significant angle of the base, and forward motion of the figure, might be a big space eater for some collectors' displays.

They just have to nail the portraits. Not another Magdalena debacle.

So bought. It does look like it takes up a lot of real estate, but it's not gonna stop me from getting her. Now it's just a matter of figuring out the best way to go about purchasing it.

I'd like to avoid the typical shipping charges if possible, but I'll probably just end up going through normal channels or trying to get one through their site directly. The days of paying inflated prices from these U.S based retailers are over for me.

Looks like they've reversed her direction. In the concept image in the beginning of the thread, she's positioned facing the same direction as the guardian warrior. That initial concept would have been less of a space eater, but maybe the new design is more dynamic?

There was concerns the knee was too exaggerated (too hiked up) on the original concept..and that is partially why it changed a little bit. While this base may take up lots of depth, it won't width wise. But trying to get this in a besta I don't think will be possible. We will see soon...hopefully at STGCC.

It's not just the size of the base that takes up space on a shelf though. If she were upright or extended within the area of the base then I wouldn't have a problem with the footprint of the statue. Since she extends out so far from the base, I'm concerned about this fitting in a PAX.

Is everyone serious??!? You all really think that base is huge? I don't think it looks any bigger than most of the statues we have seen of late. In fact I think it looks small by comparison to most. The fact that Batgirl is coming out from the base gives the whole statue a large footprint, yes, but that is soooooooo cool! She looks so dynamic. Perfect work of art to display!

I find that people that complain about the base being too big are the ones that can't fit it in a besta. It's simple, find another place to put it! I wouldn't want a smaller base. A base can make or break a statue. Xm is known for their bases and I don't want them to stop making big or elorborate bases because people can't fit it in a besta. Custom cabinets or put it on a table or pedestal fellas!

I don't think people are complaining that the base is too big. No one complained when she was faced in the opposite direction. It's the combination of the base and her leaping off of it at a severe angle that makes it difficult to display.

I love the big base and the theme of it all. You don't have space for the epic base then too damn bad. XM loves their big bases so it shouldn't be any secret to you by now. As far as it changing, it's not like too many other past XM pieces shrunk considerably because of few complained about the size. So it should be here to stay, which I'm happy to see.

That I can understand. You never know, it might have multiple display options like vulture and this base seems to be able to support that.

But less dynamic and it would completely miss the point of what XM is trying to convey with this pose and statue. She is a ninja and jumping off of rooftops and tall trees is what they are depicted as doing at times. :laugh:

The concept always showed her jumping...but her knee was so exaggerated in the concept it hid a decent amount of her outifit in the middle section area...and gave more a sense of her trying to jump to the moon instead of jump off a building.

At least that is how I viewed it initially.

Then you will have mutilple holes in your statue for the peg holes you didn't use. Unless they used magnets to hold the statue in place and blended it in with the base so you wouldn't even notice it. I don't think it's a good idea

Normally when they have multiple attachment points for the statue on the base, XM provides a "plug" for the attachment points. So that when not in use, the attachment point can be covered with the "plug". The "plug" is made to look like a base element, so that it blends with the base and hides the hole really well.

Exactly. If you saw the Venom 1/4 statue from them they had a plug you could install in the clock base if you didn't want to add the symbiot snake like add-ons. I think it could work wonderfully.

Different placements upon a base. Vulture has 3 positions or ways to place him on base. Black Bolt as 2. IM MK 7 has 2. The red spider lady will have 2 ways to display (CBG eat your heart out).

I'm not sure what to make of Batgirl. Portrait looks great. Body looks good, in a Metal Gear Solid fashion.
The base seems really pointless. Either way, this is bound to cost a small fortune, and i don't like Batgirl enough.

Yeah, it ends up being kind of a wash. The benefit of going through a licensed distributor is that if there are issues with the statue, you have someone to go through to get a fix.

There is something about this piece where the eyes don't look so lifeless. A little squint could have really brought the piece to life because nobody hold their eyes open that full, no less when wind is coming from jumping/movement.

However, with the masks, her hair and the rest of her features there is so much more to each portraits to distract. For example, I love that she has beautiful, bright, (realistically) full lips. I LOVE how her eye make-up (paints) change with the portraits.

XM, whomever sculpted and painted Poison Ivy and Batgirl -- NEVER let them leave. Both of these pieces are stunning, beautiful, portraits from start to finish.

It might bring more attention to the Samurai line, but this is a straight up anime that’s a new title. So it being Japanese language only isn’t surprising and I’m sure a dub will be available down the line. Prime 1 actually has the license for this Ninja Batman Line.

I love the head and the rest of the design. If they tossed the base out I'd like it more and likely bring the price down a few hundred dollars. Over all though I think it looks great.

I'm quite sure this will be priced the same as Catwoman and Poison Ivy at 1,200 SGD (approximately $910).

Given the tons of extras with this piece AND how stunning she looks - $910 seems a fair asking price.

It’s crazy how beautiful the women look in this line. Ivy is still tops, but Batgirl is amazing.

Unfortunately no one knows. The last word was, according to the live Q&A Radd Titan did about a month ago, was that Bane would be up for PO next within a few short months. They confirmed they're still doing Harley, but she's being re-worked again, they reiterated Deathstroke and even revealed they will be doing Robin in the line too.

Awesome! I think I came across the Bat-samurai horse design somewhere. Glad to know at least some company is willing to add Robin to the collection. I hope XM adds more characters esp neglected ones to the line! I am kind of digging their creative interpertation and I would love to see some of my favorite characters with it.
