She's sporting some serious guns, though. I know she's an amazon, and I appreciate an athletic build on a woman, but there's a bit more muscle there than I like.

So far, I prefer the P1, as well. It's also the scale that I like, and I'm not crazy about the cape on this one.

Hey guys, I have some bad news. I went to the comic con last weekend, but had some problems with my luggage arriving in São Paulo and couldn't bring my camera to the convention. It really sucked, but I have a lot of people on Facebook who did manage to take some pictures and I will try to post some of them here.

Regarding this Wonder Woman, it was one of my favourite pieces there. It was near their 1/3 Batman and they both look great next to each other. Her base is beautiful and her pose has a really powerful feel, definitely truly shows her warrior and amazon side. Can't wait to see it painted. Heard it will probably be R$ 5,000, which is the same as their Batman.

That's a bummer about your camera.... So this will be roughly around $1500 USD retail which means with shipping and markups from NA companies it will probably be like $2200 :(

I hope they make her cape optional as I'm not a fan of WW with a cape on...

I was actually surprised about the price, since it´s the same as Batman and I thought WW would be cheaper. But it´s nothing official yet, it´s just something I heard from one of the organizers of the comic con, but he is only indirectly involved with IS and not part of the company.

Overall, this piece has nowhere to go but up for me given the cape and helmeted head are my least preferred display options. I will probably get this, as I love the design and build. My only criticism would be that the hair needs some texture added (it looks like blown glass under that con lighting.) IS also needs to control the plastic elements. The plastic cape on Batman is a turnoff for me. I don't like the look of the fabric one here either, but at least it appears non-essential.

It's just hard to judge one way or the other without seeing it in-person it seems, due to its size. The paint app really pops in almost all the photos, but I definitely see where the gold helmet and armor can appear cheap and plasticky in some. I imagine the skin will have a more comic-like (i.e. Bowen) compared to P1's realistic translucent resin, but that approach leads to criticism from some when XM attempts it at 1:4, so there's even more potential to disappoint here.

The cape is not needed she hardly ever wears one. It kind of reminds me of the DC Direct 1/4 scale piece they released about 10 years ago (minus the helmet).

I thought they would display it without the helmet during the comic con. I think it´s a cool adition, but I would definitely leave her without it. The unpainted prototype had a pretty good head sculpt. The cape doesn´t really add much for me either, but it´s definitely removable and I think it looks better in person than in pictures actually.

Helmet version is totally ff. I don't like it at all. Really bad and doesn't fit to a wonder woman statue in my eyes, as the head is one of the main reasons of beauty on her.
Anyway the non helmet version is good, so overall this statue has potential.

The quality is there, so I assume you are talking about the brightness/saturation? In person, the colors are definitely brighter than the DC movie WW (which are very muted IMO). But they are not this bright, as shown in these pics, either. Nothing like the comics or cartoons.

I love the helmet, the face on It and the exclusive resemble the late wrestler Chyna to me. Not a huge fan of the base either, the demon hands seem out of place..but an Ares decapitated head or something else would be cool. Day 1 preorder for me! :drooling:

Definitely agree on that. I was thinking about it but that head is a must. It is better IMHO than the other unmasked head. Cool statue regardless, but for $1,000 you have to get the switchouts you want.

Yeah, definitely need the 3rd head if your going to get this, unless you plan to display it with the helmet. A blank face when shes fighting is just not going to do it. That is a shame. Looks like Prime 1 Studios wonder woman might be an alternative.

IMHO both heads sans Helmet beat Prime 1. But that not really saying much as I think Prime 1 has work to do on that portrait. I don't mind timed exclusives but when I'm dropping 1K + shipping just give me the entire statue. I don't know man in my old age I'm tired of the jumping through hoops. If it costs more for the exclusive so be it make it more.

It's simply on an esthetic level. I like this idea of a subterranean threat, I like these hands which appear from the ground but well, the sculpt, the color choices, it doesn't work with me... I can't really explain why, in fact... :)

To be fair, $999 is the 1/3 standard pricing set by the extremely well-financed Prime 1, who has gotten away with offering fewer switch-out options and features (this WW also has LEDs on the based apart from the different hands, weapons and portraits) for the same or more. I don't know what IS's financial situation is, but I imagine lowering the ES based on demand instead of just producing a lot and unloading excess product on retailers costs them more per piece to produce, at least if they want to incentivize the factories to maintain the production schedule instead of prioritizing larger manufacturing orders.

If a statue has an Exclusive I want and it goes on the Wait List then I'll usually jump on it and if the order goes live early then I'll gamble and pay the NRD.

She is something to behold, until you see 1/3 in person the scale is hard to convey. She's massive and the pain job is top notch. Very easy to assemble with pieces shaped so can only go one place. Optional arms and head went on and off with no issue.

I would've thought Iron Studios were using some type of Translucent resin for this piece?

As I could've sworn it was used for the what little exposed skin there was on a few of the Civil War line, such as Buckys face, and Falcons head and arms etc.

I recently received the Mark 46 and I'm not totally sure about the RDJ headsculpt though. Not nearly as well done imo.

Yes. They are actually quite easy to put in or take out. There is an order to do so as some overlap. For example one is grabbing at her foot so take that out before you remove her, but other ones better to remove her before taking them out.

I has zero issues swapping or assembling her.

it works with or without the hands. there are no sculpting details on the surface of the base that would indicate there are parts missing...or that something looks off. Without the hands it would look like the ground split up and lava is about to well up with the red lights on.

this statue is easily one of the holy grail pieces ever produced...the portraits are just very well painted for a mass produced statue.

I believe that was limited to South Americans and very low ES. I'm personally not that bothered as switch outs we got are incredible. I've gone back and forth multiple times on head and arms.

I also love the base and when the lights are low turning on that red light gives her yet another dimension.

There is a round button on the side you press to switch it on and off. It blends well with the base so not an eyesore at all.

If they do, I'll buy her too as long as she looks good. Personally, I think they've done too many movie versions. Plus, not a fan of the weird Injustice one with the game armor but then Gal Gadot's portrait.

I thought it was 1:3 based on discussions, but until a statue is shown off cannot say 100% certain.

The tease was in August 2018. it was a render of "Grail" who is the daughter of Darkseid. She's never had any statue of her done ever so big surprise.

I asked Fabok about it months ago via YouTube and he said it is being worked, but slowly. I'm guessing 2022 release and maybe get first view of them by the end of 2019.

Yeah, I didn't think I'd like it at first, but in person it's my favorite. And it's the only WW statue I own that actually has a helmeted portrait. Love how it's not just a change of hair or something super minor like Sideshow would give you - it's a different expression entirely, different hairstyle plus the helmet.
