I am a great fan of Frazetta and art inspired kn his style. Some 16 years ago Hard Hero made a statue from Ken Kelly’s Snake Pit. They also made it as a kit (100 pieces). A few mobths ago I was able to buy one of these kits in pristine condition.
I asked Epic Statues from Greece, sculptor Kostas Krasonis and painter Polyxeni Dalla, to model and paint this kit for me.
Kostas remodelled and assembled the kit, remodelled the base (added a few skulls and such) and build an extra wooden base for it.
Polyxeni did the excellent paintwork with nice weathering on the armour and great shading on the body.
Here are a few pics. The final pic is a comparison between the factory paint and the final result of this build.
