"Note: Each statue is hand painted, there may be a slight variance in the final production piece."

It's like some of Sideshow's nonsense. And I'm hoping they get her right the first time and it doesn't take a second version like with Tracer. However, ordering just to be on the safe side.

All of their statues say that. Barring the initial release of Tracer, which had issues, all of their statues have come out closely resembling the protos you see in their pictures. Blizzard currently has an excellent track record regarding QC.

I've only ordered Tracer and I looked back at her page and didn't see that statement. As long as there is no crazy 1st edition vs 2nd edition I'm fine. I managed to get a 2nd edition Tracer thanks to whoever updated her thread here.

I have their Arthas, Kerrigan, Illidan, and Grom, no problems at all with any of their quality.

I assume they added that little bit as a precaution from dealing with previous statues.

Illidan, Grom, Reaper have all been great, only some breakages on Grom and illidan but I've never heard anyone complain about paint issues.

The only paint issues were with the first released Tracers face which wasn't great but they rectified that pretty quick and Tracer also released pretty flawless.

So i wouldn't have any worries with Blizzards quality.

Did you pre-order Tracer or get on the second run? I believe the second run was in stock at the time of ordering. I don't like the full payment on pre-order since release isn't till 4th Quarter. But hopefully they will get Widowmaker right and there won't be any concerns.

My First Run Tracer Pre-Order and Grom were not fully charged until ready to ship. Reaper charged right away as well as Widowmaker. I dont remember Illidan ever being able to be Pre-ordered. I think it just hit the store as available to order.

As far as the pricing getting statues like Grom and Illidan for $350 and well as these Overwatch statues for $150 are great deals. This just shows how much licensing cost companies like sideshow to get them and make them. Glad Blizzard is now doing it all in house.

My Widowmaker just showed up out of nowhere at my door today.
No shipping notice, no tracking number, just DING DONG, she's here.

She looks really good, got lucky this time and no major defects, a couple sloppy paint bits here and there, but you have to look pretty close to seem them.

Got mine in as well. I am glad that her face turned out nice. The base looks good and the whole statue has a nice heft to it. For the price she is a good deal considering the scale and quality. She towers over a lot of my anime statues, many of which are more expensive than her. That being said her paint apps aren't as good. Gun looks awesome and her bodysuit has a nice shine and smoothness to it.

While the face turned out great and there are some nice paint apps to certain parts, on closer inspection I'm a little disappointed in some areas. Specifically, the exposed chest does not look good. The panel lining separating her suit from her chest looks very unprofessional, as though they did not let it dry before handling it. It is somewhat fading and is a light grey at some parts and a pronounced black in others. It looks to have been wiped slightly in parts too. To be honest I notice it even afar as it just doesn't look good. It looks like something you would do on a model kit, not a statue. I'm actually convinced they used an ink pen to do it, or maybe a mechanical pencil. There's also some blemishes and scuff marks around her breasts. Some nicks here and there too. It just seems like they started handling her while the paint was still drying. Nothing major, but it is there.

I'm a little worried about Dva. For Widowmaker the paint apps and overall QC are more than satisfactory at this price and size. For Dva however I would say this same level of paint application would be unacceptable. She is way too expensive for something like that.

She showed up this morning and got my shipping notice and tracking number later in the evening. FedEx bending the rules of time and space lol.

Anyways, a couple of blemishes on the panel lining on her top like Gyro but nothing major at all, and there's a tiny little spot or two on her back if I squint my eyes and look real hard.

Nothing that would be a deal breaker though, and really nothing that bugs me much at all. Overall she's absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to see who comes next in the line.

I drilled out the hole in the base a little bit. No reason for it to be that tight.

Just got mine, and I have the same issue. I'll give it a few days to see if it settles in more, but it probably won't as I'm not sure it's heavy enough to.

I have this issue to a smaller extent on my Reaper, and it's annoying that this seems to be a common issue across multiple manufacturers.

Hi All, my first post!

My widowmaker statue arrived. I was quite worried about the paint job and the head looking down quite alot. The paint turned out great. The head looking down I think is just part of her pose - as she is nearly always perched up on a high ledge in game it sort of makes sense. She'd look great a bit higher on your shelf.

You will see that her feet isn't fully resting on the base and you can see the pegs in the pictures below. That was because I hadn't pushed it down firmly enough. Since taking the pics, I've since it more firmly down and it sits in the base well now and you can't see the pegs as much.

The hair was a little tricky to get on but all worked out fine. I'm happy with the paint job. All in all very happy! She joins my Tracer and Reaper statue, and my unpainted Soldier 76 statue.

Now to wait for DVA!

Do you guys use anything to lubricate the peg? Insert lame joke, I know, but seriously.... most of my statues have really tight pegs. I use a tiny bit of glycerol on the peg, and it almost always helps fix the issue. With Widowmaker, I actually drilled out the hole a tiny bit, which no one would even be able to tell.

I just personally wouldn't risk an otherwise perfect statue for these issues.

You just need to push it a bit more firmly in. It won't break, give it a little bit of soft pressure and it'll go in fine. If you are worried, perhaps a tiny bit of lubricant wouldn't be a bad idea

Probably not in the base correctly, try wiggle it or adjust it? I'll check mine tonight

I got the peg in slightly more on mine, but I'm still not happy that her right foot still isn't touching the base and the peg is still a bit visible.

Besides that I think she looks very good, though is she supposed to be this tall? She seems to be slightly taller than the Soldier 76 that came in the CE, though her base is also very slightly taller too. I also wish her gun was more visible from the front.

All you need to do is gently push in the front of her heel with a bit of pressure and it's done :)

Also yes - she does lean slightly forward - it's the natural curvature of her pose. The post above looks worse than it is because it's not straight, look at the monitor in the background even that is slanted.

I just got my second replacement today, and I'm still not thrilled with the quality of the finished product; I may just have to accept that this is the general range of quality for this particular statue, which to my eye seems to of at least slightly lower quality than the other entries in the line (maybe partly because she seems to be harder to paint up vs. the others, particularly Reaper).

I'd personally be for a slightly higher-quality finish at a slightly higher price point, but I know I'm probably in the minority on that as more people are probably happy with the quality at $150/statue (a bargain in today's market).
