I've got one coming from Entertainmentearth, but I haven't heard anything about it shipping yet.

SWS has charged my card, so it should be shipping soon. Can't wait to get it.

Mine is coming from Fireside but I haven't heard anything either. It's about time for me to re-do my maquette shelf.

I getting one from my lcs. It wasn't on this weeks shipping list.

I've got one coming from Alter Ego, but I put it in the same order as the Anakin maquette. Maybe Marc will just wait to ship mine when Anakin comes in. Either way will be fine with me since I'll save some money on shipping if he holds it, and I'll get it now if he ships it.

Just got the update and mine is on the way after all. Just realized too that somehow I forgot to order Anakin :banghead: Oh well, I'm sure I'll be able to get hooked up with one when they release.

Ordered mine from drod but haven't heard anything as of yet. I'm hoping it hits soon because I'm itching to add another maquette to my other Clone Wars characters. Knowing GG though it could always end up being delayed.

Got my General Grievous Maquette (#2850) (http://community-2.webtv.net/Mini-Rock/CloneWars/) this morning. It's a nice piece, but seems rather plain next to the others in the line. It's a definite welcome addition though. One noticable difference between the Grievous maquette and the previous five is this one doesn't come with the base attached. You have to set the Grievous statue on the base putting the pegs into place. Ultimately, I prefer it this way, so I hope that the other two come this way as well. :)

I put a link to mine in the previous post, but you can see it HERE. (http://community-2.webtv.net/Mini-Rock/CloneWars/). It's only one pic, but if anyone would like more, just let me know. :)

On a side note, is it too late to order the Anakin maquette from drod?

edit= Also, I forgot to mention that if anyone is looking to get an acrylic case for theirs before it arrives, I ordered a 9"w X 9"d X 13"h for mine. :)

Damn Mini-Rock - that is a very nice display setup you have. The cleanness, spacing,
and cases over each item make it seem like a museum to me - a very good thing.

Kudos on a great looking collection!

Thank you JS. :D

Orlando: Thanks for the better pics. The last pic does a good job of showing how much bigger the Grievous maquette is than the others. When I opened mine, I was a little shocked to see how much bigger it was. :)

Mini-Rock: You can still order the Anakin's from me. I will get plenty.

The Grevious already shipped out as well. We are ordering a ton of the GG product so nobody gets stuck without one.

Mine just came. Don't really think he is that much bigger than the others, just simply seems to be the right scale since he is not in his humpedback posture from ROTS. Definitely wasn't expected the arms to be detached, was very nervous getting them worked into place.

Also know where all those extra replacement sabers for Kenobi came from. Same saber blade as Grievous. That worked out well :)

I got this piece today, and I really like it a lot. The paint on it is very well done, and the cape is awesome. The only thing that I don't like about it is just how fragile the arm holding the saber is. I'm scared that it will fall off with even the slightest nudge. I can't wait for the 2 Jedi chicks! Anakin will be good, too.

My acrylic case for the Grievous maquette will be here on Friday; so, I'll finally be able to display it.

I was not planing on getting it, but zurb hounded me with the pics of him waving. I just hope they make the droids so I can pick up 4 to place behind him like the cartoon scene. Thanks for convincing me zurby to buy it. You truly are a good forum member, but your still mod scum in my book!! :eplus2:

I don't know anything about the Star Wars statue market other than it seems like a lot of it goes way up in price. Would this piece be a good "investment" piece?

Looks nice....this pose on the box would've been better in statue form but oh well

I agree 100% stormshadow! The pose on grievous is the only thing stopping me from buying this maquette.

Hellboy

Personally I like the pose of the maquette better than that picture on the box. Mostly because he isn't hunched over and at almost 12" high he towers over the other maquettes in the line which looks really cool when they're all displayed together.

I dislike the pose. I wish they would of had him with another lightsaber and more threating pose than just waving at us.

MrFurious
10-28-2005, 05:54 PM
yeah agree would be nice to see him in an attacking stance, also not too keen on the way the arms just hold in the sockets, could fall out i think

spider-man

actually I'm not sure if he is waving. In the first episode of the second season of the clone wars grevious is in this pose and he's acually having the droids behind him halt. Or is it the last episode of the first season?

patrickwm68
10-28-2005, 11:06 PM
I'm nervous how his left arm with the sabre slides in upside down. It's now very snug, I can see gravity causing it to slip out one day.

patrickwm68
10-28-2005, 11:10 PM
Correction: "It's NOT very snug".

Last of the second. :)

The arm on mine is very snug, and I have no fear of it ever falling out. If you notice, there is a little notch at the top of the arm that you can turn downward to rest just above the torso armor.

Has any one else noticed that the picture of him on the certificate shows him with his lightsabre in front of him facing down and not facing up behind him which it actually is. Weird.

Also I noticed someone on this thread made reference to his lightsabre being like the replacement Obi-Wan sabre. I snapped my Obi-wan lightsabre so is there somewhere I can get a replacement???

I got mine gen.Grievous last week! It's one hell of a maquette they made. I just love the quality GG did on this sculpture. :buttrock:

this piece makes me a bit sad, i was looking forward to it more then just about anything else this year...then i saw it. the pose just makes him look too goofy to me, yes i know he is telling the droids to wait, but it just looks like he's waving, there were so many extremly cool poses he was in during the series it just boggles my mind they picked this one i think something like this would've been extremly cool, and it would've still had him standing upright to avoid another "hunched" look
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/6954/grievous4it.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
but oh well, too late to complain now. anybody happen to know if there will be any more clone wars maquettes, i love em, the look and feel of the show was just great, far superior to any of the "new" triology films, i really really want to see Foul Moudama & Roron Corobb (the ithorian and the 4 eyed jedi who battled grevious in the last episode of the series) in their clone wars form (but i know it won't happen) oh well, a man can dream:)

MrYak, that pose would have been awesome.

I didn't think he is ordering the droids to wait, he's answering "Who wants pie?" :p

heh, well thats kind of my point. to anybody who hasn't watched the series he's just waving or trying to ask a question, there were so many more dynamic poses they could've picked, he was such an amazing character in the cartoon
