Yeah have to be 1/3, cant see them dropping a 1/4 scale before the big 7 have dropped. Belly window too was pre N52. $1k is ALOT of 2 tier character.

Yeah, P1 pieces are virtually impossible to set budgets for, especially at these prices. Gotta have an iron will to plan to set aside $1K for the time between teaser and PO day.

That said, this and Zatanna already look promising. Not much a fan of the Nu52 pieces so far (I do think GL's getting an undeserved bad rap though) but I want to support the comic lines based on how great the more stylized anime portraits recently have been. Jim Lee should be a good fit for P1.

I'm guessing since SS has the 1/4 scale DC Classic Comic license locked down Prime 1 can only do 1/3 scale pieces... I'm tempted to upgrade to 1/3rd scale pieces but that means I would have to sell off all my 1/4 scale DC statues and it's such a pain re-boxing and trying to sell them.... Plus two of my favorite 1/4 pieces are Poison Ivy and Power Girl.... I wonder if Prime 1 will be doing those also?

The 1:4 license might've only been granted for the Nu52 designs, since SS is doing the classic costumes. I think XM has it too, but just not for the U.S. They only recently got the go-ahead to distribute their Japanese Batman line here.

1/3 or not, Hush might end up being Jim Lee's best work even though I love his X-Men issues. I'll have my favorite Kotobukiya Danger Room Sessions statues and these. I'm pretty much already down for Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Huntress, Superman, and hopefully Oracle. No one seems to want to make an Oracle statue. Actually those are the characters on the gatefold except for Hush and Gordon...That's my concern with the way prices are going.

But it will make a fantastic display along with the Absolute Hush book. I wish they would make a large sized Jim Lee X-Men book.

1/3 scales are in a league of their own due to size and ability to pull out more detail(s). Its really unfair to compare the two scales, imo.

This piece is actually kind of the reason I joined. I figured this would be the best place to keep up to date with any news on the Prime 1 and Sideshow Huntress pieces, along with any other upcoming figures. *cough*bombshells*cough*

It will probably be ages before we see anything else about her so I used my very basic photoshop skills to make a quick mock-up of what she might look like in color. Skin tone is a bit weird but otherwise I think it shows just how much she will pop once she's painted.

If I was planning on getting this statue, the bent knee would not be a deal breaker. To me, that is a non issue. I actually think that the statue is very nice and a great representation of the character. Never understood why she would have had a bare midriff though.

I feel the opposite way after sleeping on it. I think what bothers me is that the Batman is not based on the original DK comic. There is a little bit of stylized tweeking going on here mainly the oval on the chest not being as classic along with the head sculpt.

There are slight differences between the cover art from Master Race and what was Miller's art in the original DKR series. Color, classic chest emblem design, etc.

There are a lot of great pieces revealed this year and this one is going to be 950USD+. I personally won’t get a 1/3rd scale unlesss it wows me. In a way I am glad since I will have more money to buy more Sideshow PFs. I am really impressed with some of their statues this year.

Yeah, I just got my first ever 1/3 scale this week (Iron Studios Wonder Woman) and it blew me away. The price barrier is the major hurdle, but seeing how much larger 1/3 is to 1/4 in person made me appreciate why they command so much more $.

Dang .. I never looked at it this way and after reading your post, I went back to see the pics again and I think you're right (although, half of me wants to believe that since I really want this statue! Lol). Up until the leg reveal, I was all in with this statue, then I was going to 'pass' but having some time to think about it, and reading your post, I can see how she's giving out that Vibe where she looks innocent .. but she's NOT! :buttrock:

I feel the opposite way after sleeping on it. I think what bothers me is that the Batman is not based on the original DK comic. There is a little bit of stylized tweeking going on here mainly the oval on the chest not being as classic along with the head sculpt.

Huntress, Ivy and Catwoman Hush display is coming along great so far....

I felt the same way when I first saw a 1/3 statue from P1. I had to house my buddy's Arkham deathstroke for about a month till he got his custom display finished and man That this was amazing! 1/3 definitely have their own presence and he outshined all my 1/4 scales. P1 1/3s are well worth the price they ask.

I have to agree with you on that...They do really need to tone down their bases...its just way to big. These piece seem to be gear at people with mansions or perhaps a court yard of some sort, it seems lol :confused:

Huntress looked great in person, but one thing bothered me about it...if you look at her from the side, her boobs have a weird pushed in look. She looks great head on, but from the side it's a little odd.

Strange because they had her set up next to Ivy, and the boobs on that one stuck out like torpedos

It is a bit of work, but typically there are wires within the cape fabric allow for articulation.

It's kind of nice that they said the shown piece with sculpted cape is a final production sample from the factory. I'm still on the fence if I want a solid cape or not. The way it is I'd rather get a cloth cape to not take up so much space how it's currently shown blowing in the wind. Plus I'm picking up the cloth superman version so it will go a bit better I guess if I go with the cloth cape so they match a bit better.

Also they have Huntress out for preorder for the sculpted cape version on Prime 1's website. Its $1,099

For Superman, I did not love the positioning of the sculpted cape. For Huntress, it looks pretty good. The only other issue is it blowing in the opposite direction of Batman's - thanks to that wall, there isn't much of another option beyond just letting the fabric cape fall down.

They hadn't shown previously the other cross bow or other staff position. As far as I know this is the first time they've released pics of those so far. It's nice to have the extra options. I like the cross bow alot but I do like the new staff position also so I'm not sure how I'll end up displaying her.

Her skin detail really is amazing and also they said those are final factory production pieces too. I'm guessing it wouldn't be possible to display without the cape since I'll wager it has some major anchors into her body at the shoulders since that cape has to weigh a fair amount. Without the cape on I bet she would have holes that can't be covered up unless they add something else.

It says two in the description, but it looks like it's three different arm positions.

One pointed downwards, another upwards, and another one straight up.

(as is the rest of her) And she is completely accurate to her comic counterpart, which for some odd reason is becoming less of a trend nowadays with some other companies. I really hope P1 can maintain the same quality and details shown on the website in the production piece.

I know a lot of people are complaining about her huge base, but as a big fan of Huntress, I think it's great. It adds a bit more story to the piece with its Gothic Catholic design, as Helena is a devout Catholic.

I'm starting to believe P1 is quite possibly the best statue company out there. Thanks to Superman, Huntress, Poison Ivy and Deadman, I have really high hopes for Zatanna and whatever comic version characters they decide to make in the future.

Now, if only someone could get them to make a Pre-New 52 comic version of Black Canary...

Sure the lead times are 16-18 months but it could be worse. I PO'd the PCS Mortal Kombat X Scorpion 1/4 piece back in July 2016 and there's still no word on when that will be shipping. That's over 2 years now for that piece and still no clue on when it will be in my hands. I'm guessing it will be like 2.5-3 years total time from when it first went up for PO before I actually get it. During that time, I've PO'd and received like 10 Prime 1 pieces, 7 XM pieces, and like 6-7 Sideshow pieces.

Sure the lead times are 16-18 months but it could be worse. I PO'd the PCS Mortal Kombat X Scorpion 1/4 piece back in July 2016 and there's still no word on when that will be shipping. That's over 2 years now for that piece and still no clue on when it will be in my hands. I'm guessing it will be like 2.5-3 years total time from when it first went up for PO before I actually get it. During that time, I've PO'd and received like 10 Prime 1 pieces, 7 XM pieces, and like 6-7 Sideshow pieces.
