Since it's 1:3, it should be fully sculpted, except for the cape.

I absolutely agree. This was one of those "planets aligning" rare occasions where the costume/outfit/headsculpt and the base are all phenomenal. Gives this statue that ommpf and centerpiece quality.

I have the same 6 on preorder, but as I'm not going to order the tactical suit version anyway I haven't been paying attention to any news regarding the statue.

Like most DC/Marvel pieces, movie versions will usually play second fiddle to the comic based pieces for whatever reason. And there are certainly a lot more options for Batman then there are for probably any other character.

The 500 Ex for the JL Batman still hasn’t gone to waitlist, while the WW Ultimate and JL Superman 350 Ult/Ex went to waitlist in under 24 hours.

Heck, even the Cyborg 350 Ex has gone to a Waitlist, and the 700 Regular has SOLD OUT on the Sideshow website at least?! Not sure how accurate that last one is though given that they’re shipping right now.

Got this piece, arrived yesterday. I must say for a P1 piece at first I was a little underwhelmed when I compare it to the other P1 pieces I have like Mr.Freeze and Suicide Squad Harley. However it has already grown on me and I really like this piece now, it's simple but very well done and for me it's the perfect movie Batman. Very impressed with it overall and glad I picked it up. Just waiting on that 1/3 Heath ledger Joker next as he was the Joker for me.

It looked like there was damage and a touch up on the Batman head sculpt. Since the rest of the cowl is smooth, it really stands out. I’ve mentioned this also on Facebook as well as on the forums.

Though mine hasn’t fallen out, I’m hesitant to leave the gun hand in for long because the magnet is so weak.

At most I think over the past 10 days or so, I’ve probably only had it in for maybe an hour or two.

Almost 15.5 inches. He is turned slightly but would fit straight on as well. I think they list the depth as larger but I think that includes the upper part of the base (the skull head) which stretches out some more.

By the way, I returned mine because SSC did not have a replacement Batman head. May try to get it directly from Prime 1 down the road.

I had to lug mine up 1 flight and I can concur that it is heavy and awkward. A two person operation is definitely preferred.

By the way, glad it finally shipped for you. I know it has been a while. Can't wait for the review. It will probably get me excited for it again.

The box is a bit awkward, but then most of the Prime 1 boxes are. And I think it was awkward because the weight wasn’t exactly balanced equally.

But weight wise it wasn’t too bad, and I’m not at all strong.

I prefer not to lug massive boxes upstairs... I just open it on the first floor, take the big pieces by hand upstairs and then take the styrofoam with all the small pieces separately. Saves your back, saves your walls...

That's a real possibility with this one.

You might need to make some slight adjustments on the cape and cowl.

And honestly I never had any issues with the headsculpt sitting comfortably on the body. But then again another YouTuber also thought theirs wasn’t secure either. But I also felt that they hadn’t put the cape on that well.

I figured it out. I was stupidly trying to put the cape on the body first and then the head. Then I realized that attaching the cape to the portrait and then attaching them to the body works much better. No more tipiness.

I thought it said that in the instructions, or maybe I saw someone else’s video on the procedure.

But honestly even by the end of your review (I had only watched half earlier as I was at work....) I think you still really need to futz with the pleats around the cowl. They should essentially lay smoothly from the front tip of the cowl all the way down his back, but you’ve got them squished and folded over each other. You might want to check out some of my photos (which weren’t exactly perfect as I’ve got them showing three pleats rather than only two, but close enough) that I posted on the Freaks forum.

I’ve changed the heads so much going back and forth, and each time I’m concerned I’m going to drop something as I’ve always got the headsculpt upside down as I fit the cape around the pegs etc.

Though until last weekend I’ve had the unmasked head sculpt on for a straight 2-3 weeks.

That last pic happened by mistake. I went to bed the night before, turned off all the lights in the house, but forgot to turn off that little light above the statue. The next morning, I woke up at 6am, walked into the dark Secret Sanctuary, and there was brooding Batman, illuminated by the fading battery operated light. I had to snap a pic.

Continuity is a huge problem for DC movies. Marvel locked the main guys up for years very early on (at least I think that's what happened), while DC appears to take the opposite approach.

Hey, look at how much money they generate. They may not be "worth" that amount of money if the only way you choose to look at it is "Movies aren't that important," but that's not how it works. You're worth the tangible amount of revenue you generate, and therefore those people are worth every penny of that.

Thanks. Until now I was not really into statues, I was collecting Hot Toys instead.
