As much as I would like to collect all of the New 52! I'm going to stick with the trinity (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman). I'm not a big enough fan to collect the others (i.e. GL, Flash, etc)

Ugh. The New 52. Some quality stories and great artists doing their take on Jim Lees meh D.C. Costumes. Don't understand the shine at all. The one thing driving me bonkers over the Flash and Green Lantern. I can see Hal having a space shiny suit but that's about it. Did Superman find a new material on some far off planet and make "new 52 armor" costumes with it. Just odd.

Yeah don't know why New 52 get not much love...Justice League New 52 comic run was awesome to me but yeah matter of taste for sure. Regarding the price...i can't see a lot of pieces that are not overpriced those days ...

Well done by Prime 1 on this piece. My favorite Batman of the show and I'm really liking the dynamic pose. If I didn't already have my definitive 1:4 comic Bats I'd gladly purchase this. The base makes it a good standalone piece as well as a great addition to this line for those going all in on the new 52.

It is quite clear how P1 sort of dropped the diorama theme. Kind of a pity.

Might be that they either presumed these pieces (WW, Batman) to sell well as stand alone pieces, or the sales on the new 52 line were lacking, so they decided to give the pieces more of a stand alone feel to them, no matter the character.

That seems promising then! Thanks for posting! I know finch did the batman inc. suit, too. That would be pretty amazing given the statue treatment as well. The symbol could light up! If they were to do a finch outside of the 52 I think I’d want it to be the inc suit.

This Batman is the best P1 Batman, and the best that I saw for a long time. He is as Batman is supposed to be, overflying the city, by jumping from roof to roof.

What I find interesting is that I really like Jim Lee's art design for Batman and one of my original complaints about the P1 versions coming out are the heads which I am not alone. But then I check out some other Jim Lee figure out on the market and guess what, same "artistic" head.

Depends on whether or not they are already started the production process. The PO was forcibly delayed by SSC in order for them to re-release their Trinity. I don't like the New 52 costumes at all but this is a great looking statue. I certainly like it much more than that new Bats PF that sideshow is offering.

Definitely one of the least distracting of the New 52 costumes but I really dislike the shiny/smooth look to everything. With these types of Batman outfits I prefer a more tactical/textured look myself.

I think this is the best 1/4 scale Batman. I’m not a fan of any of Sideshows and their mixed media. This has a very unique pose, love the costume and great sculpt.

I completely agree with you! I feel that with this Bats, and the new WW from Sideshow, they create such a dynamic setup. I was truly hoping for a new set of Trinity to go with my originals from SS but I can't bring myself to PO that new Superman. I love 'almost' everything about it but that nose and that chin is something I can't unsee unfortunately.

This looked stunning at TCC. I’m considering it as a one-off piece since I’m not collecting the New 52 line, and I’m not sure how it’d fit with my old PF Trinity set. I could maybe justify it by not getting the Tweeterhead Batman, which I’d been considering to get to go with their Joker that I bought as a one-off.

I could see this potentially being slightly more expensive than others in the line, partly because the cape is quite big; hopefully it isn’t too bad for collectors who have been really looking forward to it.

I'm not getting any other P1 New 52 either. I think it will look great with the new SS PF Joker/Harley/Catwoman/Mr Freeze. I don't like the SS Batman at all, but this one is just about perfect.

The only other New 52 statues that I would consider picking up would be Cyborg and Green Lantern to begin a Justice League Collection. I was going to pair them up with this New Batman the New SS Wonder Woman, and New Green Arrow, and wait for SS to come out with another Superman Statue in the Classic Costume. Hopefully SS will make Flash, and Martian Manhunter down the road.

Honestly Im fine with this being the finale of my collection... and collecting.
Customs are too expensive as a main source and Sideshow has left a bitter taste in my mouth with their "art direction" and business practices.

Which makes this PO even sweeter, a proper Batman by P1 but with Sideshow RP :smokin:

This looks killer but I'm not digging that huge cape... given that Batman is evergreen I think I might just sit tight for a Hush-style fully sculpted 1/4 piece, which would be my ultimate Batman (especially now that he's returning to that outfit in the comics).
