Agree. I will wait to see the price on this. I'm planning to get one but if the Hot Toys version offers everything the same in terms of scale and likeness plus extra for a fraction of the price the choice won't be too hard to make. I'll get over the fact it's plastic and not polystone.

I would rather get the HT for $190 and spend the rest (of any price this maquette comes) on multiple custom made heads with different expression. Especially the scremo face.

The wood texturing in this one is more lifelike tho.

The sculpted detail on this looks fantastic, but like other's have said, the pose is a very odd and static. Wish they had gone with something from the film.

No, long ago the EXs used to cost about $10 or $20 more but they stopped that in about 2011 but recently brought back on a few new POs.

I find the price very fair, given the going rate for these things nowadays. It's about the size of a Bowen, and those were about $200ish back in the day.

Buy both and put the Hot Toys jacket on the statue, with them both being lifesize I'm sure it will fit. Problem solved ;)

i understand your dilemma, between the two id definitely go with SS - sculpted by legacy, its literally the model they used for the movie. the hot toys is nice but no base and visible joints make it even less appealing

buy both and sell hot toys one at a discount? im sure someone would buy it for like $100 without the jacket

Just got an email saying this is supposed to arrive early! Jan - Feb. This will be a first for me having something ship before the original release date. Usually everything gets pushed back by a least 2 or 3 months. Must be because I have so many other orders arriving around that same time and I am destined to be completely broke in 2018.

2.5" tall Groot would be better as an exclusive with Starlord. If they ever make one.
