They only ship if they don't sell out at the con, you would get a refund if they don't have any left to ship(which is extremely unlikely). I would go ahead and order for shipping if you are not able to pick up.

It's basically Chad and Debbie. Small company trying to expand and experiencing growing pains. No one has ever not got what they ordered. I still haven't received my 66 Joker as some reason the last 10 out of the 150 weren't shipped. They told me it was coming about 3 weeks ago. Waiting patiently.

First off I didn't know there were only two of them. Having said that it shouldn't take over two weeks to get back to a customer who has already paid. If they would have given one of us an update we could have given an update here and there would be no problem. Customer service is an important part of ANY business.

I really like it. Very good detail for such a small size. Can't wait to get the last of my storage out and start putting things out on shelves again. I think it will look great next to some of my 1/6 statues.

Then last Thursday Kandor changed to "out of stock," but the base hadn't yet. I contacted Debbie and she was going to try to locate one. By the time I heard back, the base also said "out of stock."

I contacted Debbie again and she said they were both gone. Maybe I'll happen across a set on eBay some day... I guess I should've grabbed the base and then could've at least bought the city off eBay. Kinda disappointed...

True, but there's not much I can do about it now. I do wish I'd grabbed the base while Debbie was checking on Kandor though. Like I said, it was still available at that time and I could've just gotten the city off ebay. By the time she answered, they'd closed sales on the base too. Oh well.

Maybe someone bought an extra that they don't want. I just thought I was good because of the visible, ever present counter on the page. It was showing 162 even after SDCC.

And I know I had a long time to pick it up, but life happens and sometimes things slip through the cracks. Ha. I'm really only blaming myself, but I'm kinda playing "catch up" with this line.

I never rely on the counter if you want it and have the money buy it as soon as you can. Bought Kandor last year and loved it. And bought the base when I realized how small it was. It will look great on the base next to superman

I'd guess that the Kandor base came together after the superman base was conceptualized. Elevating kandor city to a decent height.

They would have had to make an order of 1000 art boxes for around 100 statues. Cost-wise, I can definitely see how that's not worth it. Plus, it frees up the factory making the boxes to concentrate on boxes for better-selling statues.

Personally, I don't care much about what it shows up in as long as it arrives undamaged and looks great.

Honestly I think it came in just a plaint brown shipper box if I recall correctly

I know the base came in a plain brown box. Kandor might have been an actual shipper. Mine are all in storage though.

I'm not 100% but I believe the base was designated K001. Came in a shipper that contained 4 units so that would explain why people mostly just received it in a plain brown box.

Haven't had any luck finding pics of the Kandor shipper though (assuming one exists) but it might be a 4 per outer carton thing as well).
