It’s a 3 day event they hold roughly every year to announce and reveal their next set of projects and licenses. I’m really hoping for their Berserk line and their My Hero Academia line to be shown off. We’ll lo find out next week!

News letter is up on their website. They’re doing random checks for added QC. The delay was due to them having the factory redo the blue so it looked metallic. We’ll start seeing shipments in June.

So the latest update has them encountering more “problems” with this statue. It’s crazy that I’ve paid it off so long ago and given an address update but this whole time they’ve had no intention of shipping this thing out. It’ll soon be 3 years since PO. Latest update has them shipping out at the end of August now. For some reason I don’t believe it.

Anyone understand what they meant by, they will send photos of the actual item prior to shipping and we will then have the option to opt out for the second batch.

The piece will have to be shipped in two large boxes apparently. So in order to minimize handling and separation they will ship them both together on a pallet so as to create one package. They want to minimize returns for anyone that may not be happy with the paint (repaint in this case) or small details.

Agreed. Unfortunately this line is a one and done. Maybe if there’s enough interest they’ll be willing to do more of the Go Nagai robots. I would love a Great Mazinger, Jeeg Robo and all the rest!

I recently found out the delays made by Tsume-Art is because the don't know how to fix the issues with the statue such as, the body can't support Double Spazer when attaching it to Grendizer's back, When turning the light's in the eye's the entire face turns in to one flash light, Also they can't get the paint job especially the weathering done correctly.

I've contacted Tsume-Art twice regarding this issue but they didn't reply. So I'm considering contacting my credit card company to issue a refund.

My friend who owns an anime store provided me with this information, He also mentioned that a few got the prototype which came with a note saying Grendizer doesn't support Spazer and they are not responsible if it gets damaged and a few have canceled their orders due to all the delays.

You can buy the prototype from the NBK Mall in Thailand for 1700 $.

This statue was so ambitious from the start and I know they really wanted to knock it out of the park as one of their initial offerings but I guess some engineering issues weren’t too thought out. I’m still very much looking forward to it, I guess it’ll come when it comes at this point.

I'm an engineer and also work with resin statues / figures, What I would do is make the legs and torso into one piece and have a metal beam through it to support the weight.
Double Spaizer should be semi cast if I wanted to fix it on Grendizer's back or fully cast and have it displayed on a base.
The cockpit should be sculptured to fix the issues with the light that are generated from the eyes.

I've just received my refund from this stupid company, though it's missing around 200 $ ( PayPal fee's and credit card fee's ) which I'm going to pull from their teeth.
I spoke with the a few week's ago at Dubai comic and movie convention, Grendizer was nowhere to be seen, They didn't have anything to say except they'll refund as soon as their done with the convention but the statue might get pushed to June 2020.

Know I'm not trying to make people cancel their order's, I just think it's an information that should be shared.

Unfortunately it was the base, the leg is completed broken off. It remained in one piece though, some of the debris broke off as well. The base is extremely heavy and I don't know if that area is reinforced that well. I never got around to inspecting the rest, kind of gave up after that.

Ugh that’s heartbreaking. Yeah the base is so heavy that it seems any kind of jarring movement could cause a break. Hope tsume replaces it soon for you.

It usually takes about 2-3 business days for responses, but they will definitely take care of you. I’m having one of the wings replaced on my double spacer due to damage as well.
