I always used to love Wildfire's design.

What could really work well is doing two to three characters on one sculpt, and then having a pseudo diorama of sorts.

Yeah, as much as I love the DC Universe, I've never gotten the appeal of the LOSH. Is there a particular story anyone here can point me to that's worth reading? I tried to read The Great Darkness Saga, but couldn't finish it.

For the life of me I cannot think of one iconic story line. There are the various ones where timber wolf goes all feral and the romance between dawnstar and Wildfire. I just remember them having some great character designs and always highlighting a certain roster at any given storyline.

Superboy is a must, he introduced the Legion to the world. Superboy was published from 1945 to 1984 in Superboy, Adventure Comics, and the New Adventures of Superboy. 1984 is the year DC started to rewrite the DC Universe.

Superboy was created in 1945 by Superman's creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. His adventures were popular and so the character's mythos grew to include many details about Clark Kent's early years in Smallville, Kansas.

After Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1986, the DC Universe was rebooted and Superman's history was completely rewritten. He was the sole survivor of Krypton (no Supergirl), and he had never used the identity of "Superboy." This totally removed Superboy's involvement from the Legion of Super-Heroes, forcing years of mind-boggling retcons.

Are these going to be 12" statues? I kinda wish they were 10" and a little more affordable. Might make them sell better and thus be able to produce more members.

I agree, the LOSH hasn't really worked for me since they lost the concept of Superboy. I did like the John Byrne stories that explained how SB was part of the Legion and his departure. It's definitely worth the read.

I agree with you on the whole Superboy departure storyline. It was a very good read.

Even though I do think that a 10" statue might be more affordable, I think I would rather see them at a 12" statue. I do think that if they were just museum poses and if it was a very basic base (Maybe the Legion "L" similar to how Randy Bowen did the Avengers "A" on a lot of the Avengers Museum Pose statues) I would like to think that they would not be quite as much as even the Donna Troy statue is.

Currently, Tweeterhead hasn't sold 250 Exclusive Classic Batman statues...when I see these lists of characters I'd be surprised if they sell 25 units of the above listed characters. I know a lot of you are long-time DC readers and love these characters, but I don't think it's a smart business decision for Tweeterhead to make these characters at this stage of the game. The first somewhat obscure character Bowen made in statue form in my opinion was Man-Thing, I believe this piece was 55 statues into the well established statue line. It was radical for its time and controversial when introduced. IIRC it was explained that his magnetic powers prevented a wardrobe malfunction and kept his suit up. They later caved and colored it in pink like his old costume.

I wonder how well the Regular edition statues do. I know batman is 250 only via Tweeterhead direct, but have a lot more regular editions sold since they are listed on 3rd party sites?

Ideally Chad would like to make all these figures. We as collectors would love to 'see' all these characters get some attention. Will the same collectors pony up the cash when they do get shown? I dunno.

It is an ambitious concept. I'll probably be dead before most of these get shown. But Chad's enthusiasm is there.

I actually agree with you. While I love the obscure characters and I ordered Mr. Mxyzptlk, I don't think Steppenwolf before Darkseid is a great choice. I personally was never a fan of the LoSH so I wouldn't get any of these. I just want someone to make the main characters like Shazam, Black Adam, Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Reverse Flash, Captain Cold, Black Manta, Hawkman, etc. that nobody else will touch. I'm extremely excited about Martian Manhunter!
