I'm pretty sure their upcoming Wolvie and Weapon X are 1/4. That Spidey had a TON of QC issues. I really hope that was an isolated issue or they have improved as a company. It's too bad because that Spidey was a really cool piece.

Yeah, the comiquette was nice, but maybe he looks a little more realistic here. I like that this is a standing pose as opposed to the sitting XM and I feel like he's more associated with his van than with a motorcycle.

I just wish this was an action pose or him aiming down his sights with white boots like his first cover.

The sculpt and pose on the com are perfect... but the 1/5 scale just killed it for me. If it were 1/4 I'd have picked one up already. This IS Punisher is nearly perfect, my only tweak would've been to have him in a short sleeve shirt to add a little contrast to the all black outfit, but otherwise this thing is a day 1 PO for me :buttrock:

This is definitely the nicest Punisher I've seen! Hopefully they think about us here in North America and allow Sideshow to carry the EX version as well; I know it was reported in another group and then carried forward here that Sideshow will only have the regular edition but you never know. I'm in if they give Sideshow rights to the EX as well (if Prime 1 can do it, I"m sure it may be possible for Iron Studios to do it as well).

This looks terrific. I'm definitely digging it. Still LOVE my Punisher COM best. I know he's 1/5 scale (just a tad bigger actually) but I have him displayed with the OG Deadpool PF and they look perfect together.

Only QC they had a issue with was the Spider-Man and that was due to a bad factory, they replaced them all with new statues. So in my book that rights any wrong.

All their Movie Marvel statues have come out really nicely. And I've never had any QC issues with their 1/10 scale products..

Remember XM had an issue with Black Widow leaning but like Iron Studios they replaced them all and fixed the issue at the factory.

The only reason people put up with SS QC issues is that they can always return it for a full refund.... well unless it's past 30 days..

I don't believe Sideshow is allowed to sell the exclusives. That being said, I don't think I even want an exclusive head. Couldn't agree more. I'm a big fan of their 1/10 Battle Dios. I don't like the scale, but it works with multiple pieces involved.

Just PO'd the GOTG Vol.2 Dio from Big Bad Toy Store. With all pieces equating to the cost of a cheaper PFF, I'm in. You'd have to get creative to display away from your 1/4 Statues, but it's worth it to add a different dynamic to the collection.

1/10 Thor Ragnarok Battle Dio looks sick too.

Now this is the representation of Punisher in 1/4 I've been looking for! Classic head portrait, with an upgraded look to his body suit that's more tactical than the weird white gloves and white boots. I also hated the jacked up steroided out Olvetti interpretation.

I totally understand your point and I personally like comic style a lot (I own many) but I have to give iron Studios the kudos because I honestly believe that the level of detail (especially regarding his skin and all the textures) requires way more work and craftsmanship than XM's Punisher. (But I can also be totally wrong, after all). And I am in no way trying to diminish XM's work, which I find admirable.

In that sense, I believe Iron Studios' version is superior.

On a more personal side, I believe that the realistic representation route suits Punisher better. But that's highly personal.

Considering the comiquette is 1/5 scale and pricey, the PF is not great (albeit pretty cheap), the XM is pricey and hit/miss on the motorcycle and pose, this will probably be the best option for a lot of people for the foreseeable future.

Yeah i've seen on resin mechanix facebook page the custom looks terrific, paintjob is excellent on it! pose and switchouts too..even better than this one i must say... Punisher is my favourite anti hero comic character so i have to add this IS Franck Castle to my collection, he is just too good !

In fact, this is for me the best Punisher portrait I have seen on a statue. Nothing talked about but these companies have a habit of making the same character at the same time. I.e. Weapon X (XM and IS), Venom (SS, XM and P1), Carnage (SS and XM).

It's possible but I don't see anything topping this Punisher. And having owned a couple IS statues I was very impressed with their quality and having SS distribute is a win win.

Plus it's IS so it'll have a low ES.

This really is the almost perfect Punisher.. insanely good headsculpt and a crazy amount of detail on his clothing.

The only thing that really bothers me, is him carrying this handbag. To me it looks like he is more on a shopping spree than a killing spree.

The bag should be lying on the ground and he should be holding another big ass gun.

Maybe the man-purse is removable, or the whole arm is interchangeable...

Additionally i might add, that not only the size of the bag irritates me, it is the fact that he is depicted carrying it around.

I'm sure he is using some sort of bag to carry around his weapons, (at least the ones, he has not strapped to his body) but do
i really have to see that on a statue? I know, there is a high probability that this is just me, but something seems off with that part of the concept.

The rest of this statue looks so absolutely fantastic (and i mean everything) that i really consider buying it, due to the concerns i have with the "bag-issue" and have it slightly customized afterwards :laugh:

As a one man army he has an assortment of weapons in his bag for the task ahead, like an assault on a criminal compound etc, reminds me of the lobby scene in The Matrix when Neo & Trinity walk in carrying duffle bags full of guns.

I would have preferred him standing on the roof ledge holding up a Barret M52 Sniper Rifle, one of the most powerful guns ever made just seems perfect for Frank Castle.

As a one man army he has an assortment of weapons in his bag for the task ahead, like an assault on a criminal compound etc, reminds me of the lobby scene in The Matrix when Neo & Trinity walk in carrying duffle bags full of guns.

I would have preferred him standing on the roof ledge holding up a Barret M52 Sniper Rifle, one of the most powerful guns ever made just seems perfect for Frank Castle.

Danke Kollege. Die Zapfsäule habe ich von ebay und die Ölfässer habe ich bei NanuNana gefunden gehabt. Das sind Spardosen gewesen. Die BMG von der Black Widow ist definitiv eine Option die auch zum Punisher passen würde mMn. :buttrock:

There's a difference between holding it and shooting it. I have full confidence that both could handle them superbly but it would look silly IMO if Frank was standing there aiming in with it while in the statue pose.

Damn.. I totally forgot DB joined the Sideshow team. A Punisher made by that man would be absolutely EPIC! Either way - I agree with you about not being an over muscled man. Proportions are just right and the main focus is on the character - I can always appreciate a statue with a simple base. I feel with a lot of pieces latley, specifically from XM, that the base kind of takes away from the main attraction. This Punisher is the perfect ratio of base/character for me :)

I liked the other head just a lot but I freaking love the look of this piece with the Bandanna. Pulled right from the cover of Jim Lee's Punisher War Journal.

So glad they included this second head with this piece.. Would have drove me nuts if I knew this version was out there and I could not get it.

Well then I looked closer.. Those are two very different face sculpts... LOL...

This piece looks like it is shaping up to be the definitive mass produced Punisher. I loved the comiqeutte but it was 1/5 scale... I thought the XM was nice but sitting on a bike got old to me quick and so I sold him also.

This one hits all the marks.

My only issue is I am not sure I like the texture of the pants. They look more like melted leather and I would rather they went for a more dull paint. Perhaps in hand this will look more realistic.

I also wish he had short sleeves so he could show off his real GUNS... Plus it would break up the black...

Otherwise it;s perfect. Both head sculpts are killer and I will enjoy displaying both.

Im in India..they now use DHL to ship. the earlier it used to be FedEx

I have so many Pre Orders at the moment with 10 and I want this statue. It's the perfect punisher. I didn't like the xm one but I can't seem to pull the trigger on this because my brain is telling me don't do it because of money and space. With that being said, I'll probably end up pre ordering it eventually lol

I have a feeling we will see more Punisher 1/4 statues before long. I wouldn't be surprise if SS will do another Punisher with his popularity growing. Hopefully P1 will still do Punisher soon for their 1/4 Marvel line.

I agree. I definitely think we will see another Punisher statue from sideshow in the next year or two. However, who knows if it will be as nice as this or the comiquette by them.

I wen't back to the PO pics but didn't see the empty shells on the base. It's a nice touch nonetheless! I'm curious to see how that looks tho - hopefully they'll have him on display at NYCC?
