Real eyes actually work that way, but for some (stupid) reason Sideshow's factories (or at least one of them) do have a history of struggling with iris placement when a statue is looking to the side - there's a reasonable chance that while her left eye stays where it is, her right eye ends up looking slightly but noticeably straight ahead. Or even the other way around.

Please, please, please, Sideshow, make sure it doesn't happen.

Boots?! Would you put SpiderMan in boots? Aside from the impractical nature and breaking up of the slim, sleek design I like the ballet flat. Also adds a nice pop of color.

Man i did not like this statue with the teaser photo they initially showed, but with this full revel she looks really good. The base is great, I really do love it and Im starting to like her unmasked portrait too, but I think I would go with the masked portrait. They both look great.

If you take figures into account, 1/6 is probably the biggest market in terms of collectibles.

I think 1/4 caught fire 10 years ago because the prices were such that you got the most bang-per-buck at that scale. Now that 1/4 prices are running away and so many 1/4 pieces are out there, I could see 1/6 coming back.

Also shipping is out of control, the bigger a piece gets the more it cost
to ship. I just shipped my Is Spider Man statue and to ship about half of U.S. was $170.00, and it's just going to go higher. Also cost the companies more money to ship so that makes pieces cost more, In over 11 years of collecting I have watched shipping quadruple.

When they announced this line I was sure Gwen would be my least favorite, but after the reveal I think she has the most dynamic pose, best switch out option and best base. So now she is my favorite of this line.

This statue is gorgeous, I'm so glad she turned that way, I wanted a Spider-Gwen statue since I'm aware of the character and I was disapointed by all the statues currently on the market and this one matches all my hopes... The pose is very dynamic and perfectly nails the agility of Gwen, the CoH is there, the two portraits are lovely, the base is original, I love all the little details on it.

And finally the return of Mark Brooks in a colaboration with Sideshow. He did one of my favorite statue of all time : the astonishing Scarlet Witch comiquette :wink2:

I wish I could say the same and I mean that sincerely. I was hoping to cut back dramatically with my statue purchases and I am slowly inching right back up to my 2016 pre order level, which I swore I would never do again.

I agree 100% with this and last statement. Doesn't matter to them if it takes years to sell out they already produced 10 more statues by that time to keep the money train rolling.

I'd cancel this $500.00 crap I would do $800 with A- paint job, packaging, weight, fitting etc. after 5-8 releases give the collectors B- paint job, weight, packaging, fitting etc at $900 but I'd be kind enough to now include the art print. I'm sure a lot of people will view it as an A+++++ and say ss never went anywhere. Would also make the boobs bigger and continue to put all the female superheroes in poses that make them look like super models or posing for a runway as @nearmint pointed out in one of his huntress video that seems to be getting the job done. Hey if it works continue to do it I'm not mad at ss from a business perspective at all. From a customer perspective.....

I’m thinking they did things this way because people wanting sideshow silk and Gwen will probably buy these because they’re the only option. #240/750. It’s not perfect by any means, but looks decent enough. The left eye is tad too far over when looking at her straight on but looks fine from the sides and at an angle. The lower sign isn’t flush either.

The production piece looks like something from another sculptor. I don't know how Sideshow can reproduce something like the JSC Little Mermaid almost perfectly compared to the prototype in terms of sculpt and paint at this scale, but then they ship out something like this. Their inconsistency and odd art design choices are the main reasons I've been buying more from other companies.

These are water slide decals that need to be cut from the sheet. They are very delicate and are not easy to work with. Something like Microscale Liquid Decal film can be used to strengthen the decals. The decals should sealed with a clear gloss acrylic.

The production piece definitely has flat paint apps. The sculpt details also seemed to be lost. Hard to tell how much of the face distortion is due to the fisheye camera lens on phones versus production issues. Need to see more pictures to judge the factory casts. But the paints are just subpar for this grade of statue.

XM Pieces have a number on the base that can be entered on the XM Studio's website. That should prove if it is a recast.

I'm going to be totally bummed out if she's a dud. This is probably the first sculpt for Frost that isn't overly sexualized, and is actually somewhat elegant.
