Plus I'd think Gotham 1, oops I meant Prime 1, is pumping out enough Batman statues for everyone to be satisfied.

If you want a real answer, this is how Sideshow thinks: T&A > Gotham > Rest of DC Universe. That's why you've gotten a Huntress and Batwoman before Nightwing and Robin. Don't worry, they'll get to all the Batman villains. I'm sure you'll get your Killer Moth and Condiment King before characters like Shazam or Hawkman ever see a release.

I've liked only a couple of SS's facesculpts -- Batgirl, Huntress, Batwoman, the 1/5 scale Catwoman, and Spider-Gwen. The men look even worse than the women. Batman looks like a bad guy! I'm still waiting for a handsome Batman, so until the facesculpts improve, I'm okay with SS releasing mostly female characters.

To sideshow credit they’ve done 3 female Batman villains (Catwoman, Harley and Ivy) and several male villains (Joker, Croc, Bane and ss seemed to count Deathstroke with their Batman offerings). At least the female villains are the Sirens so it makes sense. But for villains it’s pretty even if not more males.

Although I’d like Two-Face, Riddler, Penguin and Ra’s I’m not sure who I’d be willing to pay for at this point.

I'm going to use Batman's detective skills here to do process of elimination lol.

Since SS normally doesn't go with ordinary characters with suit designs (except Joker for obvious reasons), then we can eliminate Riddler, Penguin, Two Face, and Black Mask.

That would leave us with the monstrous unique character designs such as Scarecrow, Man-Bat, Clayface, and Mr. Freeze.

If we say SS won't do Mr. Freeze since he has been done in 1/3 by P1, and Man-Bat is too similar to their Batman Vampire line, then that would leave us with either Scarecrow or Clayface.

Lastly if we say their last Batman male villain was the huge big size Bane, and SS would want to do a skinnier scary villain that they are being inspired by Halloween then it has to be Scarecrow!!!!

I only own one Prime 1 statue and it's the Arkham Origins Deathstroke. I can easily say that both portraits on the piece look phenomenal. IMO there's nothing cheap or plastic looking about them. They are both exceptional in every sense of the word.

I own the Prime 1 Miller Bats. Its head sculpts are the total opposite of "cheap" and "plastic-looking" indeed.

I have to disagree. It was one of the reasons I sent my Deathstroke EX back. On the unmasked portrait they used that cheap looking translucent resin. Although, I did like the masked portrait. They used the same crap on the Sideshow Green Lantern PF, so I'm sending him back. The paint just doesn't hold up well on the translucent resin for whatever reason. It just looks like plastic to me.

I get it, but I hate the way it looks. If that is the future of statues, then I'll stick to my old school sculpts. It seems they try to use a translucent resin that is similar in color to the skin tone they're going for, so they barely have to apply any paint allowing the textures of the sculpt to pop though with more detail. I prefer when they use the paint to mimic skin textures. Just a personal preference I guess. The whole thin layer of paint over a similar colored resin just looks bad to me.

For me I think if I got Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow and Ras Al Ghul I'd be set villain wise.

That'd be a pretty hefty Villain line up: Joker, Harley, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, Bane, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow and Ras Al Ghul.

Then they just need to give us Nightwing and Robin and I can put my quarter scale Batman collection to rest.

the fun things about a Clayface PF is the potential to create something very different.

I can see a Clayface that molds directly into the base. A huge menacing creature who's left arm and lower half, while hoisting him up from the ground back into a reanimated figure, show the imprint and texture of the brick around him. His massive lumbering hunched over body covered in a mix of jagged spikes shows a multitude of semi-visible faces and shapes from past victims he's taken shape of in the past. His face, mouth wide open with menacing jaws exposed and deep-set yellow eyes looks downward at his prey. his right arm, bent forward pointed upward ahead of him molded into a large serrated-edged blade.

Lol, yeah those are great villains too. I was creating a list based off his Central villains from the Wiki. When you get into characters like Count Vertigo, I doubt we would ever see him get converted into a cool looking PF. Even then I don't know if I could buy it. Heck, even Firefly would be kinda Farfetched but if he was done well and not 700.00$ I might throw money at it.

I really hate that this happened to Jason. He should have went through what he did with Hush and his short story with Batman and got killed back off. He just seems so out of place now to me.:drinking:

Deathstroke would have been great if it were a more faithful rendition of Perez's work. It was definitely an odd choice of design by SS.

There are some characters that imo would have a super niche wanting in statue form. Clayface is one of them- along with Pennyworth.
I'd take Comissioner Gordon next to the Bat signal before them in a heart beat.

I'd really love a diorama of Bane breaking Batmans back. That would be awesome. Especially since we already have such a fantastic PF of Bane already.

Yeah, that Deathstroker PF just doesn't cut it. A classic Perez Deathstroke is the only way to go.
