View Full Version : CM Arnie T850 availability in UK...? How & When?

Hi, New to the forum.

Im trying to source the CM Arnie.

I tried ForbiddenPlanet - placed an order what must be close on a year ago as soon as they advertised it - but nothing - They say they are trying but nothing so far.

I tried the CM website and when I go to place an order it says "YOU RESIDE IN THE UK - PLEASE GO AWAY" or something to that effect.

Anyone in the UK got one of these and if so how? Maybe someone knows how to source one?

Cheers for any advice you can give.

It is the same cas in all EU I guess. I have pre-orderdered the T-850 in January and I still have to wait. My dealer has no news. I have asked Cinemaquette the situation in July and they told me that there were a full shipment of T-850 for EU. However, the question "When?" remains :banghead:

Cheers for the info - does anyone know what the lead times are for US customers ordering direct from CM? Are we talking weeks, months or many months?

Keep us informed Boba. I think all EU indirect customers want to know what's happening.

I am not against long deliveries (more time to spare money) but I am against this lack of answers from CM

Thanks Cap! Small news, but still news from CM :)

Next time you have to talk to Scott, tell him that they should give more info and answer the questions. (they really do not answer all the e-mail sent to them  )

BTW, I have just seen them today: nice pictures of your fish tanks. AWESOME :buttrock:

And about speaking with Scott, you don't worry. I have been speaking with him at least 3 times a week, bothering the crap out of him, until he gets my Arnie shipped. :eplus2:
Based on what I heard from him, I'm pretty sure we will get ours soon. ;) He is a very, very nice guy.

I am sure he is. Long delivery does not bother me. I can wait (just like for the Sauron). However, lack of info when we talk about more than 1K$: that's another thing.

Hi Guys

well i had a email from Scott... saying there has been temporary delay in shipping... but we will get them! I also asked if there has been any alterations to the hair... i got this response

The hair I hear is going to be slightly modified to assure less movement in shipping.

Wonder what that will be? :inquisiti

Last time I spoke with him on the phone he told me he didn't have a right release time yet for the T-800. End of November/begining of December would be my bet based on what he said. Start shipping on January of 2006. Patience, grasshoper. First things first. I'm pretty sure will be worth the wait. ;)

Yup. I also love SS 1/4 Terminator, but don't know If I will be able to resist this 1/3 CM. :)
I just hope it's "cleaner" than it looks, tough.

Exar Kun
10-09-2005, 02:41 PM
Mmm. On the contrary, I like that "weathered" version: he looks perfectly for the situation happening in the future where everything is dark and dusty with a lot of ashes.

I like the SS 1/4, but I don't like the way "clean" he looks like because he reminds me the first Terminator appearing in flame of the destroyed truck.

I think he would have been better as Terminator 1 endo, but that's my opinion.

I know someone who has bought 2. He wants to make one oth them with a Terminator 1 base (I think, know the guy, that his piece will rocks after the modifications)

Ordering! The second they were announced thats when i placed my orders for the CM T-850 and T-800 and that was a year ago. First i didnt want the TX, but i went abit crazy and got it anyway. Im getting the SS T-800 too.

cap70
10-09-2005, 08:30 PM
..but that's my opinion.

That, I agree. ;)
I prefer a cleaner version, MUCH more to be honest. I like to think that the T-800's are too sophisticated and modern machines to get too "weathered" easily. What are you going to do if the final version it's a "clean" one, not buy?
I believe G asked Scott to make a clean version, so did I. I hope the final version it's a clean one, or atleast "cleaner". Let's see, I will probably buy it anyway, "dirty" or "clean".

Gruson
10-09-2005, 10:47 PM
I also prefer the "pristine" look for the T-800, straight from the factory like in the T2 teaser. :)

I believe CM did make a couple of prototypes of the clean version but ended up going with the weathered look.

I think a clean version would be a great CM Collector's Society exclusive. That way everyone would be happy.

It would be great if CM could post some pics here for us to see. ;)

cap70
10-09-2005, 11:38 PM
Nice ideas, G. :)
A Collectors Society clean version would defenetly attract even more buyers, and also make everyone happy in the end. And would be my first choice also. Yes, we need more pictures! It's getting close to it's release date, and a little "fuss" wouldn't hurt at all.

Exar Kun
10-10-2005, 03:12 AM

Well, if the final is a "clean one", I'll keep it for sure and I admit your point of vue. Actually, I really like to get a clean one, but just as I said, the clean one reminds me more the one we see at the end of T1 .(true that in Connor's dreams in T3, the endo are clean also).

Anyway, what I am waiting now is to get more pictures of it :)

cap70
10-10-2005, 03:21 AM
Even tough I prefer MUCH more a "clean" version(just like SS 1/4 and 1:1 statues), I doubt they will release a "fully clean" version, but I can only hope.

10-10-2005, 04:52 AM

10-10-2005, 11:20 AM

10-10-2005, 11:23 AM
Actually, I always like robots, so nevermind for me if I like the character or not. T3 was not so good to me, but...what a niece piece.

£430.00 to £599.99 in UK
$499.99 in the U.S.A

Going to get that finished and turn my attention to Arnie at some point - need to get a display case for him.

I believe theres a good place near pinewood or ealing in london that does prop display cases - they do lighting as well and print work for inside the cases. Anyone got a link to them...Ive tried googling but havent found it again!!
