Could the sculpt used for the King Conan be turned into a lifesize bust?
Is it feasible or would it just have to be done from scratch?

Now I know whatever answer won't mean Chronicle will or wants to.

Every time y'all post the question pops in my mind.

I vouch for Brian. I have mad respect for him ever since he posted the correct war paint for PCS's Conan even though they didn't follow through on their promise to correct it.

I have some things I'd like to see but I'll defer to the greater authority on the matter.

My top choice is "slave/ pit fighter Conan"..."what is best in life"

There is a limited amount of real estate on a bust, and you need a image with a lot of interest from the shoulders up to tell a good story. I think this one has it all....

Iconic scene and most quoted phrase.
Has not been done before.
Visually has a lot going on with the headband, neck shackles and wheel of pain necklace and extra long hair.
Very Conan, very barbaric and instantly recognized.

P.S.
A 1/4 scale statue with him sitting on his lazy suzan would be the perfect bookend to your King Conan statue...from slave to king...(I can dream, right?..lol)

The other options are:

The obvious...Camouflage Conan, or "War paint" as some call it (even though he is SNEAKING in to steal back King Osrick's daughter and saving revenge/war for another time...don't get me started!"...but it is camouflage, not war paint.

Either way, it's an easy sell, and from a business standpoint a safe bet. But it has been done twice now...but it is so cool looking. So there is that.

Next is "Regular Conan" long hair, wheel necklace and leather vest. It's the outfit he spends most screen time in but kind of plain and covers his body.

Next up: The Resurrection Conan, or "Beach Conan" as some call it. It would be too similar to the Terminator clean bust with long hair and a wheel necklace.

Finally: Battle at the Mounds Conan with horned helmet. It's cool, but may be a bit top heavy for a bust and sort of comical. It would hide a lot of Arnold's face.

At the end of the day, I'm sure whatever you produce will be amazing!

A bust with no headgear would make it easy to offer camo variant. Could also do the slave wheel pendant or the eye of the serpent one. Then of course you'd have to do the Valeria bust with Valkerie variant.

I thought of this too, but the hair on the warpaint is specific and the face should have an expression of anger or a glare and the head would need to be turned to capture the intensity of the Camouflage look. The only other shirtless look is the "beach" scene and again hair is different, and maybe one shirtless scene at the mound, but it is windy there too so hair is blowing.

I like that photo because of his expression and the atlantean hilt we can have coming up over his shoulder.

I've also sent the licensor these images to see if they have a favorite.

Fight now everyone here is leaning toward the slave version with the crush your enemies quote on the front of the base.

Maybe on a 1:1, but on a 1/2 like what is being discussed here it would look silly...
Would it come with a brush and some Bobby pins? Maybe some practice make up too...lol...
Seriously, I personally wouldn't like it, I just prefer sculpted hair.

I have no use for 1/2 busts, I was talking life size. 1/2 pieces look fine with sinhair too though. I am getting the Wonder Woman Prime 1 and it has that also. Sculpted hair just usually looks plasticville to me on larger scale pieces(although short hair you can usually get away with it)

Yes, I agree on 1:1 busts with rooted hair. I thought you were talking 1/2 and in my opinion hair on a 1/2 could look odd on a Conan statue.
