These two statues are a thing of beauty. Best realease since the Mouth of Sauron on Steed IMHO.

I will definitely be picking these up at some point and it’s making me reconsider some other planned purchases, namely Eomer on Firefoot.

Doubt it will. Poses like this aren’t anything new for Weta, in fact they’re quite common and I haven’t seen any reports of their statues leaning over time.

I wouldn't be too sure. When I bought the BOTFA Saruman at black friday 2016, he was only out a month or 2 if I remember correctly. Also, at these price points, and with the amount of releases Weta is doing, the statues are lasting longer than they normally would. And also remember that not everyone collects the Hobbit, there are a healthy amount of LOTR only collectors out there.

You be surprised. It’s $800 for 2 1/6 and weta shippings are always expensive. They re also just generic characters not any specific heroes. No way I am paying full price for them.

Nice sculpt and execution though by weta.

Weta has been pumping out the product and there is much more to come between now and BF. Couple that with these price points and my money is on both of these still being around in 7 months.

Not quite PF prices but they’re certainly expensive nonetheless. PFs average $550-$800 in today’s market. These Weta 1:6 scale pieces average $400-$500 so the gap is still there. Good chance these are discounted in Weta’s Black Friday sale.

Sorry guys, I did not see a previous post regarding this new Weta Mirkwoodwood Elf statue, but I went ahead a "pre-ordered" this fine piece ... I did not want to take a chance and miss the "boat" on this one.

Anyway, I own the other two previous Elf soldier type pieces (e.g. Galadhrim Archer & Elven Warrior) and they are as great as this piece too. I prefer the pose/stance of the Elven Warrior and Mirkwood Elf Soldier and I would welcome a "re-make" of the Galadhrim Archer in a similar action pose (with the Bow & Arrow, and sword). WDYT? :thinking:
