Yes, they actually sat us at a big round table.
I just got home about 10 minutes ago. I had a really good time at the show and enjoyed meeting all of the gang (as well as putting a face with the names). We had good food and lots of good laughs. Afterwards we split up and a group of us hit a few bars. Unfortunately we missed the last train back to the convention center and had to locate a cab that would take 5 of us to the other side of town. MADJAZZ had a few in him and had no problem telling off the cab drivers that wouldn't take 5 passengers.
Well, we made it back to the convention center and I hopped in my JEEP to drive to my hotel which was another 20 minutes away. I was accelerating to get to the highway and I couldn't control the JEEP. I pulled over and found that some pricks let the air out of my tires while it was parked at the convention center after hours. So, until 2:30 in the morning I was changing my tire that came off the rim and finding a gas station with an operating air pump to fill up the rest of the tires. I guess that I should just be happy that they didn't slash the tires.
I went back to the convention today for a few hours and got a few more sketches drawn. I'll post those sketches later on, after I get some sleep. I didn't have a camera at the show, so I can't post any pics.

I went from the convention to a footbal tailgate for Pats/Chargers. I have pulled the pix off my camera, but have a busy day at work today. I will try to shrink them down during the day so I can start posting them tonight. Had a great time seeign the usual suspects as well as a bunch of new faces and forum regulars I have never had the pleasure to meet.
Per CBormann - It appears Boston cabbies are not as professional as NYC cabbies. With what we had to pay to get back to the parking lot, aren't you glad we didn't have to take two cabs and pay twice that amount? :) The guy we ended up with was nice enough.
I highly recommend coming out to an event or gathering and meeting fellow forum members. Be a part of the NYC Mafia's Community Outreach program!

OK, here's the start of the pictures for the latest exploits of the NYC Mafia Community Outreach program.
I don't think I'll get to all the pictures tonight, but I will get to as many as I can. Boston may not have been ready for us, but we were ready for Boston.
The highlight for me was meeting seven forum members for the first time. I haven't met this many members since my first Mafia meeting.
I figure I'd start with the group shots and then work my way through the candids.
The first shots were at dinner (John Harvards in Cambridge) and the second shots were outside after dinner.

4) wktf, CK13, Tony Coca, Sam Wilson - I get to meet wktf and Sam Wilson for the first time. I was expecting big, but Sam Wilson is even more intimidating in person. I felt much better about that, because as predicted, Tony Coca wore his Yankees shirt to Boston. Also as predicted, beside Tony Coca and one small old lady, the day was incident free. :buttrock: wktf? Picture Zurb, but younger. A lot younger. :laugh: (Hi Zurb)
3) Dura introduces us to Mrs. Dura. Ck13 gets in on the action. Dan's wife was really nice. I tried to get her to pose with Dan and their cell phones, but she balked. (Insert in-joke here)

1) Cage and wktf - Cage is a local and was a great host and ambassador for Boston. We had a chance to meet Mrs. Cage (Marjorie?) at Dinner and she was equally charming.
2) Tony Coca and Madjazz spend some quality time with Mick Foley. As I sit here posting, Mick just came out on Monday Night Raw and got punked out by Randy Orton.
3) On our way out the front door of the hotel on our way to catch the train downtown, we happen into C. Bormann in the lobby. Great timing and it couldn't have worked out better if we had planned it.
4) C. Bormann and Dura - Three guesses who Dura is on the phone with already
5) CK13, C. Bormann, Dura, and friend of Dura - It didn't take long to start making glasses empty

Hey it was great meeting all you guys what a great time. Food was good, Beer was flowing, great company and good times.
Primal to tell the the truth I don't know what I was thinking. I just saw the camera and that was the pose that came to me. I think I was well beyond my limit, oh well.
Next time i head down to NY, I know some of you guy's go out for beer and wings, I'll PM one of you and meet up. My wife has family in Wantagh and we usually head down there every couple of month's. Well take it easy guys.

1-2) Anybody remember the old Julia Sweeney SNL sketch "It's Pat!"? Where the gag was noone knew if Pat was Male or Female because he/she was incredibly androgenous? Check out the person in the Yellow shirt - at the very least they have the same tailor! The guys dared me to snap a photo, and here they are.
3) My infatuation with red-heads is well documented. I had to take a snap of that costume. You should have seen her trying to walk in the heels. I thought she was going to topple at any moment.
4) Sam and Twitch arrive at dinner
5) Cage brought his girlfriend Marjorie - I didn't get to talk with her much as she was on the opposite end of the table (probably by design :) ) but she seemed like a keeper. Cage seemed very happy and I'm sure it wasn't just because he was out with us! (Jocar65 looks on with approval)

1-3) The rest of the dinner shots - what a great time
4) The view from my hotel room (right next to the convention center and a block away from the subway) Tony Coca said I should post this as someone else wanted to see what a nice view of Boston was like.
5) I took this photo at the place I went to the next day. (Cage and gman - if you want the original, it is big enough to make nice wallpaper. PM me with an e-mail address.)

I can't tell you what a great time I had, although I'm sure you can get a good idea from the pics. I look forward to the next time a bunch of us get together and hope to meet even more new faces. It is looking like the next really big get together will be in NYC in December so keep an eye on the forum for details.
I have to mention one of the other highlights for me was meeting sculptor/artist Paulo Rivera at the convention. He sculpted the Mystique oversized bust for DF a while back and has a cool looking Red Sonja statue coming from DF as well. I was able to find a Mystique statue at a great price, and he signed it for me. He was not aware of the forum, but I gave him the URL and hopefully he'll find his way here.

Off the board for a while due to Rosh Hashanah. This was a great surprise!
Hey, great pics!!! What a great time in Beantown!! I had a blast meeting everyone! Hey, Zurb, I don't know which one of us should be more offended by the earlier comments in this thread...but, yeah, my beard's definitely whiter than yours. Truly outstanding to meet Sam the Man in person after all these months of writing comics reviews together and, of course, Dana my fellow BOTH bro and CK13 with whom, last year, we traded jabs over the Red Sox and Yanks. Gman, back atcha! It was outstanding meeting and partying with everyone.
The only thing that was missing was those promised shots of Jamesons. Oh, well, next time.

Goddammit! I still can't get the ketchup smell out of my mind, madjazz drowned his freakin' french fries in that blasted condiment and done ruined keetchup for me for the rest of my life! He warned me too, but I didn't believe him until I saw it with my own freakin' eyes.

I can't help it. It's genetic. I only found out a few years ago that when my Dad was dating my Mom he used to keep a bottle of ketchup under the seat for food at the Drive-In. It's its own food group in my opinion!
