Hmm, I don't know. I'm not entirely enamored with it. I think this is a situation where mixed media would have worked better, IMO. Grant is a pretty vanilla character so there isn't anything exciting about it being fully sculpted. I also really don't see Sam Neill in the sculpt all that much, and I find the pose and base to be incredibly boring. I get that there probably isn't much to choose from and this scene is iconic. I'm going to have to think on this one if this is what we are getting. Everything, of course, hangs on the price. I wished I was more excited about this because this is something I've been truly looking forward to since Chronicle announced it. I admit, I'm a bit disappointed.

I think mixed media would look better and the likeness could be better. Their 1/6 scale Grant looked great, so hopefully they can take a little more time with this one and get it looking perfect. 1/4 Jurassic Park is something I never thought I'd get, so I really want this to be the best it can.

Base is lovely, as is the design choice, but the likeness and facial sculpt is definitely one of chronicles weakest efforts I've seen. If it's not revised I'll have to pass, or wait for a huge discount

I read on Facebook that the flare does light up, unless I misunderstood. I hope they tweak this. I want to support them and pick this up. Their other items, while they look great, are just way out of my budget.

Mixed media would be better, but only if done really well and i'm sure in CC case this would also considerably raise the price.
The sculpt can be improved no doubt, but i still see Neill there.

I really hope Chronicle will do everything to release this item and don't let it down due to all negativity.
I wander if there will be a wetlook to the base and figure.
Or maybe a Rex footprint with (clear resin) puddle in the base so it would reflect the flare.

Good pics do make a difference. Companies should release their own pics of newly released pieces so bad cell pics don't cause an uproar.

This is an instant buy for me.
Yeah, i wanted a JP PF line so bad back in the days.. can't pass on this by any stretch of the imagination (and i want Malcolm, Hammond, Sattler, Tim&Lex as an unique piece and Nedry as well, asap), as long as the price is fair.
Even if other companies will release their take on some characters, with translucent resin, mixed media and real hair (hope so), i like the "statue feel" this one has.
But i'm used to own multiple versions of things anyway..

Usually their 1:4 statues for SDCC are painted by Jacob Rahmier in person..

Hope it sells out and quickly, as i would really love to see this as the start of an even extremely limited line, but with Ellie, Malcolm, Hammond, Muldoon, Lex&Tim.. and even yellow raincoat Nedry, Arnold (Sam Jackson attacked by a raptor in a 1:4 mini-diorama? This needs to happen asap), Wu (maybe with a raptor hatchling), Gennaro, Dodgson (restaurant diorama? That would also be a perfect Barbasol can companion piece? :smokin:)..

I mean take the NECA Aliens series, they made me buy toys again just because of how consistent their human line is/was, who could have ever imagined i could display in a cabinet a realistic looking Burke, or Vasquez, or Newt, or Frost, or James Cameron next to the final battle recreation in scale..
I would love to see something like this from Chronicle, and i'm sure every character would easily sell beetween JP fans as long as they're well made, reasonably priced and limited in the run.

I seem to remember one other, but not who it was. I expect it will depend on how well Grant sells if there are more beyond that. I would only get a standalone Muldoon and possibly a Hammond.

They didnt even plan on releasing the jp2 velociraptor bust, but decided for it after the great sales of the Jo 1 bust so I'm really hoping they consider more humans. It's love a Malcolm, and Hammond. Not bothered on muldoon.

We will have the second human figure on display ate NYCC, it's printed and being painted soon.

It's going to be a cool piece and if we can hit 300 pieces on these we will make the entire cast if possible. Now that we are partnered with Sideshow, we should be able to surpass that amount so more cool figures are coming.

Lex and Tim as a duo package (because they are smaller) would be nice. Nedry is my 2nd favorite beside Muldoon...
John Hammond would be the crown piece.

Characters from TLW are not so epic (read: colorfull) except for Roland Tembo.
JP3 characters are also not very Iconic as the first JP.
Jurassic World is a no brainer... Owen and Claire...
Fallen Kingdom... dunno...

I have a feeling they need to make sure P1 or IS aren't doing them before they continue with the line. They are also probably monitoring current sales of Alan and Ian to see if the market is there.

I didn't preorder this because the wait times with this company is astronomical, but I do plan do buy when its released, and will buy others if they ever see the light of day!
