Bloodrayne II Statue (http://martianfactory.chainreactionweb.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=10&osCsid=0463a4bf10fc1d561f69cdc5af287a07)

And the e-mail sent to me on my waitlist request:

We now have a few statues left and she is up for sale again, if you
wish to purchase the statue just go through the shopping cart.

Please note, that these are the last statues of the 200.
It takes an average 72 hours to produce each one and that is the
time we have determined for the last ones to ship out.

I'm looking forward to this one, even though I'll have to display it with
the body covered up with a cloth or something, due to kids around.
I gave a suggestion that they make it removable, so people with
children could display the statue without the half body present.

The half body was what kept me from it. However, I might buy.

Same here nexus. I'll have a nice looking cloth over the body, as it is totally
inappropriate to display with my kids around. I don't care for it much either
to tell the truth, but the look of the Bloodrayne Statue makes up for it for me.

Thanks for the thread. Really like this statue!

Yer welcome Tet! I just found this as well - there is a BloodRayne movie in the works.
I bought this statue because I like the look, but a movie coming out should
only make this statue more desirable in the future - always a good thing.
BloodRayne is played by Kristana Loken - the TX girl from Terminator 3.

I've heard that Uwe Boll is a very bad director, but here's hoping that he
does a good job with this license/property. Glad I got this statue when I
did, whether the upcoming movie sucks or not.

Agreed. Do what I'm gonna do - cover up the body, and most of the blood.
Should be pretty easy, and will still look very good.
Actually, if the BloodRayne statue is removable from the base, I'll make up
a custom base for it, minus the gorefest on the floor. Will look nicer then.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

We do our best and can only improve on our next projects...

The gore is simply a reflection of what is in the game however, understanding different situations at home, we have no problems making it without the severed body(there would be no blood on the base either). Not sure if we could make it removable but we could make it without the body altogether and just have her on the base... just let us know.

The statue is not removable from the base without the risk of breaking her especially when the blood is applied so the best thing is for us to make it without the body altogether, or as a separate piece. Keep in mind that the chain won't be present in this case (or in the case of no body at all).

Also a good idea to specify whether the blood on the blades is OK or would rather have them clean with no blood... a more toned down version. ;)

Wow - that is fantastic! But now I have a dilemma. I want the statue to have all
the pieces it is supposed to come with (body & chain) to keep it part of the regular edition,
and not have some one-off item that messes with the overall value. I just placed
my order yesterday, and put in my note that I'd love to have the gory body removable,
or just not fixed to the base. If it were a loose piece, I could at least move it
behind the base, and cover it to keep the chain intact, which is very important to me.

I don't mind the blood on the base or blades at all, as I can pass that off
as generic. Vampire blood, orc blood, monster blood, etc... But a cut-in-half
human with their guts strewn all over is impossible to talk around with kids.

Would having the gory body not fixed solid to the base, but still attached to
BloodRayne with the long chain shown be possible at all? I'd sure appreciate it if so.

Thank you Claudio for the great offer and amazing customer service and consideration. :buttrock:

Agreed 100%!

I think I could live without the chain if the body were removable. Decisions, decisions. :) Claudio, since these latest orders aren't coming until around February, when would we have to let you know about the body?

Thanks again,

I was just looking over the pictures again, and you're right on. The chain must be there. If you could remove the body and leave everything else the way it is including the blood, that would be fantastic! I would still want the body included, just removable. What do you think Claudio?

I can't believe this is even being discussed never mind actually possible. Claudio, you rock! :buttrock:

Hi gang,

Again thanks for the kind words and support - you guys ROCK if anything! :buttrock:

I'm not sure to be honest because its not that simple. She is extremely complex to build as is let alone try to make her removable with the blood and everything intact... we can make the body removable but I don't think the blood is a possibility. also the chain cannot be made removable so that is something to keep in mind... without the body the chain doesn't make much sense really anyways...

I'll have to discuss it with the crew to see what we can come up with that is realistic...

Hope that helps! ;)

That's a great statue. But judging from the pics for the movie. It looks like a horrible B flick already. The costume looks bad. And Rayne is very pale, and Kristanna is far from that...

JSA
10-03-2005, 07:54 PM
Claudio,

Please explain a bit more on the body.

What I think we're hoping for, is that all the blood and everything be present,
but just the body not be fixed permanently to the base. Chain still attached
to BloodRayne and the body, but then we could just move the body behind the
base, and have the chain still attached, so as not to affect the statue value.
Paint the base/floor with the blood, but have the guts and body just setting
on top of it, to be positioned whereever we need, for display purposes.

That, for me, would be IDEAL! Then I could display it easily without needing
to cover the base between BloodRayne's feet to hide the gory body from my kids.

Thanks again for even considering such a thing! I've NEVER had such great great
response from a statue company, to tailor an item specifically for their customers.

That pretty much says it all. To borrow a line from Return of the King, Claudio, you bow to no one!

Looking at the base again, I can see what you mean, the body is pretty much integrated with the blood, chain and base. Can the chain still be included just sitting on the base without the body? The blood on the base is fine too. If not, it doesn't matter, I'm taking it the way it is. Heck I have a Ugluk with a severed head, a Cleaved Orc bust and a Dracula Brides Bust so what's the difference.

PS. I'd be happy to come down and meet with you and your crew to discuss it. :p ;)

The blood and guts is what kept me from getting her cant have that stuff around kids.

Yeah, I'm a wuss (kids-shmids, ;)) and the base was a bit too ooky for me, so I had to pass. The blood I have no problem with whatsoever, it's just the corpse torso itself that's a bit too on the "not pretty" side for me. The upper section was quite beautious though!

Question: If this is the BloodRayne II Statue - Is there a BloodRayne 1 Statue?

Are they referring to the 2nd BR Statue, or 2nd BR videogame, that they
happened to use as the reference for this statue?

I ask, because I'd like the first statue as well, if one was made previously.

Any new updates Claudio? When last we left off, you were investigating if and how
easily it would be possible to separate the gore body from the base, to make it removable,
but still have the chains attached.

Thanks again for even considering such a thing for us! :D

Hey Tet.. did you contact Claudio?

I think mine arrived like, 2 weeks after the date in the original email that stated when it would be shipped.

When you get yours, be very careful removing it from the box. It is packed in peanuts and the sword tips could be spiked in the foam packing.

Oh, and it is completely assembled too!

Saw that auction before. Kind of ridiculous really.

Are we talking a jump that quickly, comparing it to a Samwise/Pony & Aragorn statue? I'd think not.

I'll have to wait till the price returns to earth before I'd buy that statue.

I'm a bit miffed I found this thread too late :( Perhaps I'll find one @ a reasonable price down the road....

I got mine of the Bay. I was playing Bloodrayne II one day on my X Box, and was wondering if there was statue, and I found one, and was blown away. I paid a good penny for it though, but I got it, and was happy. That ended up being my first piece.

I was shocked.

JSA

That doesn't seem too far out of whack, considering the low ES and in comparison
with the original Aphrodite IX that sold for a high of around $900 to $1,000.

It is out of whack, as in crazy that we are inclined to spend that much (or far more) on a
statue, but I mean in comparison to another somewhat similar statue it is in-line price-wise.

Bloodrayne II is mighty mighty rare to see up for sale..........

I paid $475 for mine. They guy was trying to ask for $899 I believe, but I made him an offer, and he accepted it, but added about $100 more to it, and I gave in.
