Cheetah's composition is pretty damn fabulous. Straight from the comic.

I think there are other reasons for that other than the character not being popular enough. I myself returned 4 cheetahs!!! Yes 4, from Sideshow because of damage and the portraits literally not fitting into the body. I’m very surprised if there are any out there without a horrible neck seam. Production was terrible on a great looking statue.

Chad has mentioned that Bowen line up was kinda his inspiration for wanting a cohesive collection of DC characters, so I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing. Just like Bowen there will be characters that we love and don't love but he did them, which I think is the goal of Tweeterhead. So the comparison is fair.

That said production values have gone up and I can't wait to see the future line ups as the characters and teams start coming together.

Holy Cow!! You weren't kidding about this.

It's practically the Cheetah statue I always wanted! This statue goes beyond words and just calling it gorgeous isn't enough. Can't believe in less than a month I've been smitten by two statues--Dejah Thoris and now this.

I'm soooo in love with this statue. The sculpt and details on this are breathtaking. Her portrait perfectly captures her character and the eye color is enough to put me in a trance.

It's definitely SS inspired but I don't care. The only thing I want to know now is when I can PO.

There is nothing on this statue that would be able to 100%conceal the seam other than not doing switch outs. That said I absolutely love it and will be picking her up. Also with the long hair I will bet that hair hill cover the seam so even the picky ones will be satisfied.

I'm not sure how much more they can tighten that up. I'd ditch the COH on statues with no good break point between the body and head. I would guess there would be way less complaints about no EX then that seam.

If they can tighten that neck seem it won't be as noticeable. My Wonder Woman sits perfectly flush and I can't even see it unless I'm a few inches away from it, but what made Wonder Woman's so bad was the fact the seam was on her skin. This being on the costume won't be a problem I don't think.

I wish they had thought to use the foliage around the ruins for the WW. So much more of a Paradise Island feel with the greenery there, rather than simply the arid rocks.

First, let me state that I love the Cheetah statue. She looks amazing.

And I only say this since it's at the prototype stage and it's possible to make changes, but I think the COH might look even better with a bit more hair in the sculpt...maybe billowing around to her right a bit before whipping to her left. This would add more to the back also and help to hide the seam. It just seems that the amount of hair is a bit sparse.

Yeah, the first two (Priscilla Rich and Debbie Domaine) were pretty normal villainous women in cat suits (hence the heels and painted red nails). The current Cheetah (Barbara Minerva) actually has super strength, super speed, super agility, cat reflexes and vision and very powerful claws that can tear through most substances.

There was a male Cheetah in there at some point, too, but I don't know anything about him.

They wanted to keep each base somewhat related to the character background. They incorporated the jungle foliage on take from her animalistic feel. Both of these were designed at the same time so the choice was deliberate.

Since then there have been multiple times we have been told the base would be revealed soon.

1 - We were told in late September it wold be revealed by end of the year.

2 - We were told in early October it would be shown when Batgirl came out since she was the hold up to get it finalized.

As for the communication of this change, I'll just write it off as Chad trying to do all this mostly himself and thinking he'll fix it or communicate it shortly and just keeps slipping his mind. I know some won't accept that as acceptable, just like some don't accept having to pay the balance on statues that are still 1-2 months from shipping. Meh, I've been involved with this hobby since the first days of Bowen and it took him quite a bit to get everything working smoothly.

Right... which is why he should have never mentioned it or even attempted it. IMO, Chad's biggest problem is getting WAY ahead of himself. There have been two cases now where he has tried to offer a "base" incentive to get people to order direct and neither has gone well. There was the Harley riser if customers ordered three statues direct from him which everyone ended up getting anyway no matter where they ordered (I know - it wasn't his fault). Now another "order 3 get something free" incentive that appears to not to be going as planned.

You're asking the customer what we think the probability is of having a base that holds three statues with no problem... ask Chad. All we know is what he told us... it's like now we're all dummies for believing he could actually pull that off? I guess there is something to be said about going in blind when we didn't see any images of this "base". It was definitely a testament to the faith people had in Chad to just believe it was what he said.

I think you are starting to see the results of over-promising and late-delivering. People are starting to get a bit hesitant.

I still hope he turns things around from a customer service point of view. I see Cheetah has a Q3 2020 date on it, so that's a good start. In the old days, we might have seen Q4 2019.

It was described as an additional base to fit all three together in the Robin thread...Chad went on to state in one of the vids that it was going to be a multi-level platform that mainly worked with Batman and Robin, but would work with all three. It would also stay in line with the rooftop theme, which I'm assuming means a rooftop design.

It is what it is at this point, just have to wait and see what they put together. Anyway, on to Nearmint's point...

I had ordered the Superman exclusive from an Ebay retailer who was selling a decent number of them from what I recall (I believe there was even a discount when buying more than one). That seller shared a warehouse with Chad, so I was under the impression that TH was open to sharing the "exclusive" with others. Technically, it's not really a "Tweeterhead Exclusive" when others are selling it, but I guess it's not much different from anyone buying it direct and selling it on Ebay.

I do wish the exclusive head had skin tone the same color as the rest of the statue, instead of human skin tone. I get that classic cheetah was just wearing a mask, but later cheetah was actually transformed. Could have hit two birds with one stone!

I look at it like this - without the Corona Virus, I think the schedule that is on Tweeterhead's site could have possibly been achieved.

With the Corona Virus, things are going to be be delayed. Yes, things are shipping out a later than what was originally solicited but they have arrived. And if I have to wait longer for the statue to come out perfectly, I do not have a problem.

Personally, I think it is time to move on from the issue you had with Tweeterhead, especially if your issue is resolved. You have the right to be upset and frustrated over it but constant belly-aching about it is not helping anyone.

Yeah this is a risk i had to take. I have 6 Tweeterhead statues on pre-order and should be receiving Starfire soon. That doesn't count stuff from other companies. I had to draw a reasonable line until I knock some of these pre-orders out. Maybe then I can swing around to some i may have missed.

I emailed Tweeterhead last week to ask about the status of the EX Cheetah. I received this reply today:

"She is here at the port. But unfortunately there is a backlog at the port and she is taking longer to get to us. We are hoping she will arrive to our warehouse this week."

Crazy how bad these backups are, but at least you know where it is and what the delay is. Hopefully it actually gets out the door with a quick turnaround, none of this "label created" nonsense that's been going on.

I'm just wondering how Sideshow, as a reseller, can have the regular version in stock and available for shipping but the actual company producing the statue has their EX versions stuck at port? :confused:

Sideshow has a loooooot more cargo coming in so they can get things in a lot quicker. The items go direct to them. Whereas, in this instant, Cheetah is a small run on the Exes for TH and she is shipped with Shazam. Otherwise he'd be paying for a full crate that is only 1/4 full. She is worth the wait. Flawless

I assumed (erroneously) that everything went to TH first and then got sent to any reseller, including Sideshow. I didn't realize that they got delivered to Sideshow directly from the factory in a different shipment.

Now that you point out the cabinets, I really like the position of the hardware. You don't often see the long handles put horizontal on cabinets that swing open instead of pull open (i.e., the cabinets above the microwave). I'm a big fan of this change!

My cabinets have small, single pulls. I've toyed with the idea of putting long handles, but the thought of drilling all of those hole seems tedious. And FML if I don't get them aligned properly/uniform.

I can understand the extra work and not wanting to do it but I think the horizontal cabinet pull look fantastic. I restrained an old dress and used pulls like that on them and it looks great.

I also love the fact that she has high heels, like all super-heroines and villianesses had back in the 70's and early 80's.

I HATE when a contractors or designers try to sway me from something just because it's their preference or "most people do it this way". Yea, well, guess what - you get paid the same regardless, so do it how I'd like it to look. I have to live with it. If I hate it, I will pay you again because I changed my mind. Unless I'm doing something that structurally damages or experience has shown you it doesn't work out great long term - I don't wanna hear it. Make it work.

When I'm getting quotes for things, I really pay attention to how the person interacts with me. My husband doesn't even bother with being in the room half the time. If they immediately shoot my ideas down or say "well it will cost more to do X" - damn near dead to me. I never tell the budget in advance, so there is no need to count my coins for a project. Give me your scope of work, quality of work, and let me know the cost.

For anybody doing home renos, I recommend do NOT state your budget up front and get at least three quotes. Be frank that with the contractors you are getting other quotes too. Even for something like painting. I got three quotes. The jackass who said "well it will cost more for X" quoted me $2500 more than the other two contractors who were within $150 of each other. Mr. Expensive was dismissive, an ass, and over priced because he thought I was an idiot. Meanwhile the painters I hired were lovely, did a great job, and one even said "I just paint the walls, I'm not the person who lives it with and you have to like it." Appreciated him and totally agreed.

I didn't want contractor grade accessories so we bought all the ones ourselves. And yes you are right, they should give you what they propose and allow you to make your decision. Because we all know you can bend a budget if you see something that you really love.

They are hand painted. My understanding is they did a stencil from the paint master. I'm sure after a while the painters just winged it. HA

The base is heavy. She is solid polyresin but not heavy. It must've been torture on their eyes. I can't even imagine. I've said it before but if anyone didn't snatch her up, they will be sorry. Perfect Cheetah redition and she looks bad ass next to superpowers wonder woman
