a little help on quality of dc statues [Archive]

thinkin of lettin go of bowen statues i have and get some dc direct statues and stick with hh for marvel. i got a great deal on the flash grodd today and it looks great. just want to know if the quality of the other dc statues is nice?im thinkin of lookin for the green arrow, hawkman and aquaman first. any one with some input would help.also are the statues all about the size of flash? it looks more liek a medium staue compared to bowen fs

Do what makes you happy. It's your $ and your hobby. But Bowen pieces appreciate more than DC.

My opinions are:

DC's "full sizes" are all "medium" sized...generally speaking.

HH Marvel stuff is looking REAL GOOD to me.

IMO, DC statues really started getting better around the Aquaman and Green Arrow pieces. Before that they were so-so. But see them first hand and make up your mind before letting your Bowens go.

I have and I think the DC statues are great, especially the ones sculpted by Tim Bruckner:

Wonder Woman (either design)
Supergirl (either design)
Green Arrow
Classic Aquaman
Batman "Jim Lee"
Superman "Jim Lee"

I also have the Green Lantern (William Pacquet sculptor)

Can't go wrong with any of them.

i really love the hawkman, green arrow and aquaman sttaues and i havent seen them in person yet. spectre looks kewl also. i did notice alot of people not liking the martina manhunter statue.i thought it looked pretty kewl.i do nitce the statues goin for over 200.00 tho.

The manhunter stat is not really up to snuff..in fact i really think it's the worst of all the JLA related figs..the best for me is wonder woman hughes..=)

I think my favorite DC statue is Randy Bowen's Batman on Gargoyle. Past that, Willam Pacquet's Joker is just outstanding and consistently gets commented up by people viewing my display.

The set of Young Justice Statues(Robin Impulse Superboy)
Batman on Clock
Hush Batman
Hush Superman
Starman
Preacher
Nightwing
And a whole bunch of different Sandman Statues...

They all are very nice..
I wish the Nightwing was bigger though...
