I am disappointed there isn't a DTS track on the dvd. . I'll probably have to fork out another $20 bucks in a few months for another release of it that has a dts mix.

Madjazz, it seems this movie was definitely rushed out but seems to have a decent amount of extras as it is on it already. I'm guessing they won't do another anytime soon. But I've no news on it at all.

The movie I have literally waited decades for.
I never embraced the other films. They were not THE Batman to me. In fact I am rather ill willed toward them. Remember "Batdance"? OMG the horror.
They got so many things wrong. Batman/Wayne is so much more then a costume and car. The villians so much more then the silly celebrity exaggerations. Its like they never even read the comics, or just looked at the pictures more likely.

I grew up with the campy TV show which was fine for a child. But when I started reading the serious comics a whole world opened up. That is where The Batman has resided to me. The comics. Then came the animated series. I found this true to character but watered down for the kiddies and still only an animated effort. There were some very exceptional episodes.

Batman Begins blew me away. I held my hopes back until premiere day because hollywood is so untrustable.
Batman Begins is what should have been done long ago.
I can finally share what The Batman character is to me with non-comic readers with this film. I can say, Yes that is the true character up there.
They way I know him with the depth and darkness we all knew was there all along.

The Dark Knight truly triumphant!

and about effing time!

True. My supplier has had his stock in for about 2 weeks. I'll finally get around to picking mine up tomorrow, so I can watch it tomorrow night. :D

I'm disappointed too although I know WB isn't too big with DTS releases. I remain hopeful that an SE or the announced "HD" version will have it.

Also, according to a reviewer over at the HTF, it has one of the most aggressive DD tracks to date. He said he feared for his system. So, even without the DTS track, it "sounds" like it'll be a great workout for my HT.

this movie is GREAT!! Got it right away on Teusday at 12:01 (I work 4-midnight). Thought it was the best Batman movie so far. Out of the other four I really only like the first one and kinda the second one. The others sucked in my book.
Anyway it's a must have.

Just picked mine up and it rocks. The comic that comes with it is good. Hopefully it will prompt many people to go start buying comics. Maybe... I only wish it had a DTS track. The Dolby Digital is cool but, DTS just sounds so much better.

I agree ashley. I read the review over at the Home Theater Forum for this and the reviewer said that it was one of the loudest DD tracks he had heard. So, when I watched it on Saturday, I was expecting a "hot" track ala Underworld; however, it was no where near that dynamic. Great mix though, but it could have used a little more "oomph!"

Loved the movie too. The best Batman yet. :D

How's the deluxe edition different from the the regular widescreen edition? Is it worth the extra bucks?

the deluxe edition has two discs one the widescreen format of the movie the second a suplemental disc ,with a bunch of behind the scenes stuff and a comic book. It was completely worth it for me as I bought it at walmart for $19.

I went the cheap route and got the single disc version.I hardly ever watch the second disc of the deluxe versions I have now so I figured why bother and it was $10 more.

Yeah i know CC does this a lot. When Sin City came out they gave away a litho, but it was a rinky dink POS. Like the size of a 5x7 postcard. That is why I went to Best Buy to get mine. (Reward Zone). Looks cool though..
