Any Grateful Dead fans out there?

I have a few questions.

This may be a little confusing, because I don't have all the facts, and maybe you guys can help out.

Just heard about some Marvel cards that came in a Grateful Dead CD in 1995.
Not all cards are Marvel, and the cards are replica "back stage passes" from a 1995 tour.
I believe they are more like stickers, having adhesive backs.
I also believe there were at least 3 CDs released in 1995.

So, I'm wondering which CD it was?
How many cards come with the CD?
Does anyone have any to part with?

I thought there were more ol'timers out there like Zurb, that would know the answers to my questions.

Driving that train, high on cocaine,
Casey jones is ready, watch your speed.
Trouble ahead, trouble behind,
And you know that notion just crossed my mind.
YEA! coke and trains the railway to hell. :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

Okay, got a little more info.
There seems to be 8-9 Marvel cards in the 2003 Best of Grateful Dead CD release, that are replicas of some of the 1995 tour passes.

Can anyone confirm this?

Look out of any window, any morning, any evening, any day. :buttrock:
Yup. There are. I have one of those at home. I got the CD in the car but the case is in a box since I moved. I'll check it out for you tonight, and if I I'm no damn lazy I'll fix my PC and even post later on.

Hehe, funny. This post was 4,420.

jerry garcia was a huge comic book fan and had a massive comic book collection
the backstage pass designer knew this and thought it would be fun to use comic book characters on the passes to get a rise out of jerry.

Wooktroop,
My wife and I are Marvel card collectors. She's standing behind me all excited and cusing you.

So tell me, exactly how were these available? I've heard different stories.
Are the pics you have the actual back stage passes, or the replica cards?
We're mostly interested in the cards.

Yes, that's what I already read. There's one site that says 8.
I think there's 32 passes.
Here's a pic of an uncut sheet.

and i wonder if they are standard card size, they might be larger.
if you really like them id seak out the orginal passes unless you are gonna fork out $19 plus shipping for 1 random card per CD.

I've done this sort of thing before. Are you interested in a Star Wars Ep 1 DVD? I've seen some sealed CDs on ebay for much less, and one pass for about that amount. Tough call. We love our Marvel cards. May have to search out both. Cards are 2 yrs old, passes are 10 yrs old, so many Deadheads out there.....cards may be the easier way to go. Either way, this will take awhile.

DAMN IT! Mine was Spider-Man and it's not in the case.
Got a little searching to do but I'll let you know if I find it.

Haven't bought any CDs yet.
I'm hoping to fine a few at a low price, get the card, and then flip it.
The passes I've seen run $19+ also.
Since I'm a card collector, I think I'll take my chances with the CDs.

We recently won a CD with commemoritive card, but didn't bother to ask which one it is. Doesn't really matter at this point, since this is the only one we have right now.

I'm having trouble finding the cards, so I settled on a few of the actual passes.
Several hit ebay at a reasonable price, so I picked up 3 of the ones I liked best.
Got these two and Spider-Man.
Love that Ken Stacy X-Men. Also have that same art on an X-Men exclusive watch card.
