Ok, now this one hurts. I was not a huge Irene Cara fan and I have not thought about her for years but her songs were part of the soundtrack of my generation. "Fame" and "What a Feeling (Flashdance) were staple on the radio and people's mix tapes in the early to mid 80"s. I also was not aware that she also won an Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe and only would have needed an Emmy to be an EGOT recipient.
RIP Irene and yes, your music will live forever.
