Oh, my GOD!!!! That Y-Wing is SWEEET!!! I love the base and the Astromech. It's mine for sure.

I just read Steve's response over at RS that the Y-Wing and Falcon will NOT have a display case. :banghead: However, he said we will be suprised by how low the price point on the Y-Wing is (It is 28" long after all). This will look so good with the AT-AT SE!

I hope they fix the slight "rust" paint that looks a little weird on the model. Otherwise it's damn near perfect. I've always hated the plain mirrored bases that people over at RS seem to love for some reason. This piece just plain rocks! :buttrock:

I'm sure it will be perfect upon release, and that the c0ckpit will be painted nicely. I've heard that the Snowspeeder c0ckpit turned out well.

I had to add a zero to "c0ckpit" to get it past the language filter. :laugh:

Any guesses on the Y-Wing price? Originally I thought around $1,500, but after Steve's comments and the lack of an acrylic case, I'm now thinking around $1,000.

I'll be absolutely ecstatic with any price less than $1,000.

That would be perfect. I would definitely be shocked at that price. Combine that with the $100 SS coupon or a dealer discount, and that's a pretty sweet deal.

Still, the amount of pieces required for this model has to be much greater than that of the Snowspeeder, which is why I figured the price would be higher. The Y-Wing will also be larger than the Snowspeeder, which I am using as a reference since it was around $600 or so originally (including the case of course).

I'm hopeful that MR will sell the acrylic cases separately. The Y-Wing and Falcon will be so fragile that they demand cases. I need to pick up one for my Vader helm as well. :)

Thanks for pics P1! The Falcon is missing.....Hopefully that Y-Wing's paint job is "just" a prototype paint job. Can't wait to check out the final! Please DO IT RIGHT,MR.

People on this forum are very helpful and informative, so why do you have a negative attitude when they post the information. I for one did not know that the GR statue was from the movie, So thank you P1X4R for the picture reference. Deffinately love the Y-wing. :buttrock:
