In Columbia Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment’s exciting new action adventure The Legend of Zorro, the swashbuckling masked hero embarks on the most dangerous mission of his life. Multiple Golden Globe Award nominee Antonio Banderas and Academy Award winner Catherine Zeta-Jones reunite with director Martin Campbell in this action-packed escapade set in the California territory in the critical days preceding statehood.

The Legend of Zorro is set several years after the conclusion of the previous adventure. Alejandro (Banderas) and Elena (Zeta-Jones) are married and have a 10-year-old son, Joaquin (Adrian Alonso). Though Alejandro continues to don the mask of Zorro to protect the poor and oppressed residents of the California territory from the greed of the overlords, he is torn between his duty and his desire for a more normal life. Now, he must face that conflict again head-on when plans for California to become the 31st state are undermined by a nefarious plot by several prominent land barons and
businessmen.

In his valiant attempt to foil their plans, Zorro runs headlong into a crisis that threatens his life and the safety of his family.

The year is 1850. The territory of California is seeking to become the 31st state of the union, but certain unscrupulous individuals, members of a mysterious medieval organization, are determined to prevent this event from transpiring.

Once again the masked hero, Zorro, must come to the aid of the people of California so they can become citizens of the United States of America.

At the same time, a corrupt robber baron McGivens (NICK CHINLUND) is intimidating the law-abiding residents of California, seizing their land and threatening their livelihoods.

Again, only Zorro can stop him.

Don Alejandro de la Vega (ANTONIO BANDERAS), who inherited the mask of Zorro, is now married to Elena (CATHERINE ZETA-JONES). They have a 10-year-old son, Joaquin (ADRIAN ALONSO). The boy misses his father, who is rarely at home. And when he is, Joaquin finds himself wishing that Don Alejandro behaved more like his idealized hero Zorro -- having no idea that the two men are the same person.

Meanwhile, Elena forces Alejandro to choose between his family and his crusading alter ego. When an unexpected crisis forces Alejandro to once again don the mask of Zorro, Elena feels betrayed and kicks him out of the house. Soon after, she serves him with divorce papers.

When a former schoolmate of Elena’s, the French aristocrat Armand (RUFUS SEWELL), moves to California to start a winery, he is thrilled to discover that Elena has separated from her husband. He immediately begins to woo her, while at the same time attending to his duties as the head of the Knights Of Aragon, a secret ancient fraternity.

Don Alejandro now finds himself caught in a dilemma between his obligation to serve the oppressed and threatened people of California and his responsibilities as husband and father.

PRIME (Trailer (http://www.universalpictures.com/asx/prime/prime_dms_trlr1_700k_wmv.asx)) (Official Site (http://www.primemovie.net/))

Set against the colorful, bustling backdrop of modern-day Manhattan, Prime is a witty romantic comedy about the trials and tribulations of two mismatched lovers. Starring Oscar-nominee UMA THURMAN (Kill Bill: Vols. I and II, Pulp Fiction) as Rafi, a 37-year-old photography producer reeling from a recent divorce, who meets David (BRYAN GREENBERG, television’s One Tree Hill), a 23-year-old painter recently out of college, Prime explores what happens when love at first sight meets the day-to-day realities of an adult relationship. Oscar-winning actor MERYL STREEP (The Hours, Adaptation) portrays Rafi’s therapist, Dr. Lisa Metzger. Lisa, who is working to help Rafi overcome her fears of intimacy, finds out that Rafi’s new lover is -- unfortunately for Lisa -- her only son, David.

David and Rafi must contend with a 14-year age gap, vastly different backgrounds and the demands of David’s traditional mother. A frank look at a modern, urban romance, this film candidly and humorously explores the joy of falling head over heels for someone -- and the struggles that inevitably follow.

Prime is written and directed by BEN YOUNGER (Boiler Room) and produced by TEAM TODD, headed by sisters JENNIFER TODD and SUZANNE TOOD. The film is both Team Todd and Younger’s follow-up to the 2000 debut feature, Boiler Room, an energetic drama about Wall Street hustlers that starred Giovanni Ribisi and Vin Diesel. In this new kind of love story, Younger explores a softer side of New York.

At first, David and Rafi’s blossoming relationship appears to be an ideal match, as each unexpectedly fulfills the other’s needs. “David wants a serious relationship in his life,” explains producer Jennifer Todd. “He’s reaching into the adult world by reaching for Rafi, and he likes the challenge. Meanwhile, Rafi is looking for recovery. She’s been shut down from all the pain of a divorce, and this young person with a lot of energy and freshness is really appealing.”

“It’s Romeo and Juliet, except Juliet is 37 and Romeo is 23,” laughs Thurman. “The question is can Rafi and David love each other passionately and be on the same playing field? And how do differences in experience affect their abilities to relate to each other?”

Despite their intense attraction, the charmed couple soon realizes that vastly different ages and backgrounds create much conflict. A Jewish hip-hop lover and closet painter who still lives with his grandparents, David has little in common with Rafi -- a non-practicing Catholic from a wealthy, broken family who travels in the sophisticated, high-end world of fashion. Their attempts to bridge this gap generate the film’s humor and heartbreak -- hallmarking Prime as a love story that could only be told in New York City.

THE WEATHER MAN (Trailer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/the_weather_man/twm_trailerlrg.html)) (Official Site (http://www.weathermanmovie.com/))

Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage stars as popular Chicago TV weatherman David Spritz, who has a shot at the big time when “Hello America,” a national morning show, calls him for an audition. At the top of the world professionally, David is approaching disaster on a personal level as rapidly as the weather changes. His painful divorce, his dad’s illness, and trouble with his kids have David poised on the knife’s edge between stability and calamity. Trying to gain control of his situation, David slowly comes to realize that life, much like the weather, is completely unpredictable.

Meet David Spritz (Nicolas Cage), Chicago’s local weatherman for WCH, Channel 6. For many, he’s more than just someone who forecasts sun, rain, sleet or snow – he’s a moving target. Pelted on a regular basis with soda pop, malts and fast food by jealous fans, many of whom have a curious love-hate relationship with him, David wants nothing more than respect…especially from his father, prize-winning author Robert Spritzel (Michael Caine). He also wants his estranged wife Noreen (Hope Davis) to love him again, his daughter (Gemmenne De la Peña, “Erin Brockovich”) to be happy, and son (Nicholas Hoult, “About a Boy”) to stay out of trouble. On top of that, David wouldn’t mind mastering archery.

But although David’s life is full of inner turmoil, on the outside the weatherman with the winning smile and onscreen charm appears to be pretty much under control. Even the producers of the prestigious New York-based “Hello America,” hosted by Bryant Gumbel (portraying himself), have noticed his work and want him to audition for their syndicated national morning show. Still, no amazing career opportunity seems to be stopping David’s personal life from going into a skid, and much like the tornadoes he predicts, he could be headed for a path of destruction.

That's it for this week...

Looking forward to Zorro and Weatherman as that was filmed here in Chicago earlier this year or late last year I believe. My mom actually wants to see Prime. Seemed pretty funny though.

Was the weatherman delayed? I thought it was supposed to come out a long time ago. If anyone see's it let me know, I was thinking about seeing it. Same goes for Jarhead.

I am excited about Chicken Little (look's funny) and Harry Potter
