Whats everyone think about the Luke and Taun Taun statue??
I am on the fence with it but SciFi warehouse are doing a pretty good deal on it free shipping+£30 off

Might pick one up but aren't sure

I'm on the fence as well. Would like to actually feel it seeing as I saw it in person. I liked it though but might just wait for a better Luke piece.

I'm getting the Luke on Tauntaun too! Although, I hope the sculpt is fixed; otherwise, it'll just be another attakus X-wing Luke with a crappy likeness to MH. GG is better than that though, and I know they'll pull through. :)

This statue has been at the top of my list ever since it was announced and especially after buying the dewback statue and seeing how kick @$$ it is :buttrock: ! However, all the pics I have seen so far of this statue just don't seem to make it look all that great, theres just something about it that looks off to me and ithe rider DOES NOT look like Luke. Hopefully the final product will look alot better.

Nice one. :laugh: But trust me it's impossible to get worse than that Attakus likeness. I think Luke on Taun Taun is a great piece, I have to see some close up pics to check the likeness, but so far so good. My only fear was that this piece could be too small, but some people that saw it at SDCC told me it's in scale with the Dewback, so this piece is going to my shelf .

I'm gonna wait till next year's convention season and look at it up close when I'm visiting different venders. I did see it at GG's booth at Wizard World Chicago (it was a prototype) but I was underwhelmed. I really wanted GG to knock this one out of the park, but for some reason I didn't think it was that great. Maybe the final product will kick @$$.

Pardon the ignorance guys but what material is the Luke on Tauntaun made of? What do you guys think of the Scout Trooper with Speeder Bike? Thanks

Scout with speeder is awesome. Only downfall is that it doesn't have a themed base. That sucks imo cause its in the diorama line and the dewback and taun taun have themed bases. I would have loved to see an endor base but instead we just get the all black base.

Yup GG could have made it more attractive if they had given it a little background. Is this made of polystone or vinyl?

I am still on the fence with this one. What makes it harder is I have one of Howard Senft's kits which I think is an awesome sculpt.

Is there other "offcial" statue of Luke on Taun Taun out there? No, I don't think so. This is the one I'll go for without a question. The final product "should" look good enough.

If anyone has the Luke mini-busts then it's possible to live with the Luke and Taun Taun statue. Neither of the Luke busts look like Hammill IMO.

I have picked up Howard's Luke on Taun Taun as well, I have yet paint it, but the details on the Taun Taun alone are outstanding, as well as Luke and the base it stands on, by far the best kit of Luke todate there is.
