Sorry to hear this news and it is also such a shame that he had to go through with having such a terrible disease and that he wasn't very old either.

That sucks. And for those who didnt know. He also played Detective Eckhardt in Tim Burton's Batman. At least he's not suffering anymore.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Hootkins at Celebration II and I have to say he was an exceptionally friendly and down-to-earth guy. Definitely one of the highlights in the autograph section (which is saying quite a bit). He had a wonderful sense of humor and was all-around very congenial. I was wondering why he hadn't attended CIII this year...I imagine his illness made it impossible. May he rest in peace.
