Well here it is! As mentioned in my previous thread...The head of Optimus Prime. :buttrock:
Here are the details."Diamond Select Toys has debuted images of their Optimus Prime Head Replica on their website. It is presented in approximately 1:120 scale, and is 14" high, limited to only 1000 pieces and designed by Art Asylum. It also comes with a hand numbered base with a matching box and Certificate of Authenticity and will be in stores April 2006. "If we went by the scale ratio they gave us, we would have to assume Op's head in real life is 140 feet tall.

I can see it now - "THE MATRIX", written in all caps in a cheesy futuristic font.

I don't mind nameplates as much as some people, but I could really do without 'em. They bother me more on minibusts and statues than pieces like this one. But if they insist on putting "OPTIMUS PRIME" on the base, why not use the old-school TF font? Although this bust isn't necessarily strictly based on the G1 Prime.

Or better yet, just stick a nice big Autobots emblem on the base and that's good enough....

Regardless, I still think this will look cool next to the HH Prime and Megs statues, along with the Palisades Devastator statue. I'd like to see a Megatron bust as well.

If I had to have his name on it i'd prefer it in that font than the one they're using. And this prime seems to be based off the Dreamwave look which is being used in the Palisades mini-statues as well.

On another note...DST has come to an agreement with Hasbro to create Transformers busts & statues! To be unveiled at SDCC!

(BALTIMORE, MD; June 6, 2006) Diamond Select Toys & Collectibles (DST) is negotiating an agreement with the Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc.. (NYSE: HAS) to create resin statues and busts featuring the iconic characters from Hasbro's Classic G1 TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE: REAL AMERICAN HERO brands. The proposed new line will be unveiled in July at the San Diego Comic Con.

Weve created great G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS products in the past, and we're very excited to have the opportunity to offer a wider range of products for both of these great licenses, said Diamond Select Toys Marketing and Sales Supervisor, Michael Leavey. With the heat behind the TRANSFORMERS brand leading into next year as well as the success of G.I. JOE SIGMA SIX, fans and retailers can expect some great sculpts at more approachable price points.

With the sculptors at Art Asylum and Plan B continuing to provide the highest caliber sculpts, DST is looking forward to a number of high-quality and very successful releases!

Did you just sit and stare at it and try to come up with a negative commint? The eyes are fine.
