View Full Version : Magdalena Statue - White column variant?

Howdy folks! I've got my Magdalena Statue, and the columns and
base on it are grey, with gold detailing highlights. I just found this
picture though showing one that appears to have white columns
and bright gold on the column detailing :

http://i17.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/55/24/5d_1_b.JPG

It could be my eyes playing tricks, or a brightened up picture I guess
but to me it sure looks lighter on the top circle than on the base.
Does anybody have this one, or have any information on it?
I've never seen nor heard of it before, so I'm mighty curious.

Thanks for any info! :buttrock:

My guess is that it's the lighting. Regardless, I'd prefer to have one where the semi-circle and the columns match. So if there are two versions, you have the better one in my opinion.

There's only one version of this statue, that's just the play of the light in the photograph.

For now...

For now...No it's done, the production run on this statue was closed ages ago, this statue is several years old I think ... now if a different sculpt of this charactor is done, it still wouldn't be a different version of "this" statue.

Personally, I don't even bother displaying it with the base ... while I really like the alter, it takes up way too much room.

Yeah, that's what I was making reference to. Technically, the AP would be a different version. I won't be surprised if it looks extremely similar though.

No. It has said "information coming soon" on the csmoorestudio website for months.

It's gotta be a repaint of some sort.

I remember the guy who post here saying the casting were better and the paints will differ a little but I don't remember any specifics, if I could find the thread I will post what he said.
here is his quote
I can tell you what I know. Both pieces will be low production runs, but I'm not sure how many total. Both pieces will have new smaller, simpler bases. That is about it on the AIX. The only other difference will be that it is being produced from a much better production master (I prepped both, so trust me on this one). The Magdalena is going to be the same staue, but with significant resculpts. Not just little things like accessories either. I'll wait till Clay is ready to show some pics of her because I am not 100% sure of the changes he is making.
Hope this helps

I took a pic of my Magdalena statue (54/4000)
While I am by no means a shutterbug like Fenix (easily in a class of his own, especially when working with shadow) perhaps the pic will still help!

It's one of my favorites!

Yep, I'll be snapping up one of the Magdalena AP's when they become available.
Not sure on the Aphrodite, but it very well could happen too, provided I like the look.

Thanks very much for the info and clarification everybody!

IT's anyone's guess, but I have to be honest, it's going to be REALLY tough to top the original statue! It's by far my all time favorite piece in my collection .. same with the MB!
