Well, the day after the WW Texas convention. It went well. Had dinner with james from HFA and Bowen maniac (pictures ooner or later).

Bowen Maniac drove me broke, goading me into buying pieces I really realy wanted. He really twisted my arm and practicaly forced me to hand over the cash. :)

Got a nice SS Wolve vs sabertooth #42.

And picked up the Marvel 70's giclee from james from HFA (you must do business with this guy if you want giclees, a great guy). Man that was some big time money.

And don't think bowen maniac didn't go crazy either. He picked up a Spdierman 1:1 ross bust, a DST Thanos FS, a bowen Death Dealer, Rogue and Gambit from the sentinal series, and some comics.

I'll post pics later, but its only a few.

I did. I also got a zombie robin sketch from Tony Moore.

Bowen Maniac, who was helping out a comic dealer, took their sign and had many in the artists alley sign and/or do sketches on it. It was quite a nice piece at the end with tons of characters like Rosharch, Batman, Chewie, wolvie, and the Tall Man from Phantasm.

Congrats on those two pieces B_C. Bowen Maniac is an awesome guy too. He sent me the Bullseye comics and also a DD and Elektra set. Can't take highly enough of James.

It was great to meet bat collector. As with Boston Con, without a couple "statue forum" guys I would've been sunk! The quality of the Wizard shows is taking a complete nose-dive. It looked like attendance was way down compared to last year, which surprised me quite a bit.

bowen maniac and I go back a couple of years, but I must say it was fun at dinner and I appreciate the hospitality!

Ok, I know I forced him into buying somethings but, he still cost me dinner and $20 to help him get the sideshow piece.

This is what I picked up at the show:

Friday before show opened - dealer needing cash - Death Dealer and Original full size Thor both for $260

Second purchase - Rouge and Gambit sentianl pieces both for $250

Saturday - Comics to fill sets and dinner with James from HFA and bat_collector

Sunday - Thanos for $150, Life size Spider-Man Head for $100, and Abby Chase statue for $50 plus some comics.

For hauling all of my buddies stuff to the show he gave me the new Avenges Canvas and a Moore Emma Frost statue.

Big thanks goes to James for HFA he helped me get one of my goal pieces and that was a Original Seven by Alex Ross and I also picked up from James before the show the Crisis on Infinite Earth piece by Ross.

Congrats on that Original Seven piece. It is pretty sweet. James is a huge help. I am still looking for the canvas version though. That is my Holy Grail.
