Isn't the Kabuki small? Looks nice, but waiting for the new one to come out.

Don't know the size of that one but Shi is quite big.
Kabuki is 22-23 cm with base and all, 9 inches that is.

I take it you that the Kabuki leks? Whats the height of this one?
Yes editted my post, had difficulty finding measuring tape, she is quite a bit smaller than shi, that's a good price for shi though.
Damn it just noticed the batteries I bought are 1.2V.... bast@rds ;)

Better read that discription on shi good,, these were damaged ones at the ankles and bought off of pabs11, a little while ago for 55 dollers each..
I didnt read and bought one right away, I should know better..
Dont know what I am going to do..
df
Feck I ofcourse didnot read the whole description. I remember those by pabs even bid on a couple they did go for a bit more than 55$ but this is way out of line.
Scumbags although they do state it clearly :peoples: I would definitely not go through with it, tell them, offer them the listingfee and be done with it
Bulls add that to your initial post about the damage before others bid before they read, thats often a problem, but understandible.

Tee Hee...I have both these statues.
IMHO there are better Shi statues out there (Crusades Collectibles) and the new Kabuki kicks this one's butt.

I will pay for this item, i bid I won end of story, I should know better, and if its a good repair job it shouldnt even be visable, cant tell from the picture.

Yes - I watched when they had the "broken ankled" Shi listed at $50 starting bid,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8710648478&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
and they got no bites. I was going to at that price, but I forgot about it. When
I e-mailed the seller (toyboxxtoys) they said that they wouldn't sell it for the $50
and they were going to list it again until it sold. When relisted, the price was
then placed at the $130 BIN level for the same item.
I wouldn't bid on that $180 Kabuki Statue either - I just won this one last week:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6575230338&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
She is now setting happily on my shelf, dinky little thing though she may be.
$65 is a lot better than $180! :buttrock:

Shi is early Moore (around '94), and not as finely detailed as his later pieces.
Shi is 1:6 scale (about 12" tall exclusive of the banners).
Kabuki is 1:9 scale (about 8" tall), released by Moore and sculpted by the Shifflet Bros.

Done leks. I thought the people who would bid would have read it. Sorry. But are they not repaired.
Sorry Bulls I didnot mean to fault you because I don't, I do think if you bid you should have read it properly before and they state it clearly so the scumbag thing was not even necessary. But I can see how it might happen more easily now. Lots here trust your judgement ;) so they might think it's ok and bid instantly and just do it without etc. etc. and than perhaps regret it.
When I read repaired I get chills down my spine

The better half loves the Moore Shi statue.
In fact, it's one of her faves.
