i just got a new psp can someone tell me a good program to convert dvd and where can i get emulator that works

and a good site to get help

Or gamefaqs.com... They can point you in the direction of downgrading and emulation...

You can go here for some psp updates and stuff. Also, try and find the program ipsp, it lets you rip movies and put them on your memory stick as well as putting your itunes music on your psp too.

I perfer pspvideo 9 I believe it is... or you can just pay the 20.00 and get sony's all in one software suite...

That's the one I have as well. PSPVideo9. The thing is around 5mb if you would like I could just send it to you.

I think Sony right now is big on stopping piracy altogether... I mean look wha they did to their music cds... and I just read an article on the PS3 about how they have the technology to shut out 'rented, lended' games out of the new hardware... How this would work I have no clue... Unless the machine can record code into the cd... How would the console know that it is rented vs a newly purchased game?

Back to the emulation... they put 2.0 out there because people were able to rip a PSP iso off the UMD disc and load it on a Gig memory card. This lead to piracy... So now you have 2.0... and I think 2.01 which fixed the downgrader bug.

But I've read that programmers found a loop-hole in the 2.50 software, similar to the one in the 2.00 version. version 2.50 has a new web browser and other features and hopefully within the next month or 2, they'll have a downgrader for that.

Remember, it took programmers a month to exploit the 2.00 version.

Why would you want to play an emulated game on your psp??? I mean here in the next couple of weeks... some awsome titles are going to be released for it.. If you do not have GTA:LC yet... I would highly recommend it...

I was emulating for a bit.. and I had a genesis emulator and a snes emulator.. and both ran like crap.. I would rather play them on my computer or not at all... just junk...

Because Sony has found away to prevent any emulators to run on the 2.50 software. The reason they keep upgrading, is to prevent people from running emulators on it.

I think it is not emulators.. I think it is ripped UMD movies and games...

What emulators did u have? Because the ones I got run fine. I got the NES, SNES, Genesis, & LuaPlayer (runs homebrew games like Who wants to be a millionaire & Air Hockey)


As for the games, there are a few good games but not enough for me to upgrade my PSP. I'm old school & I will take Zelda and Mike Tyson's Punch Out over GTA any day of the week. Plus I have over 200 emulated games on my PSP...why would I give that up to play a game that I'll play once or twice and then shelf it? I'll stick with my Xbox & PS2 for current titles, and keep my pimp'd out PSP old school.

Also, my computer is loaded with movies & music and I like the convience of having my old school games on the go. :buttrock:
