Well like you said it would be the same statue[minus paint]but it is kewl that its a Bowen
Why would it change someones mind to not buy it if DST picked it up??

Exactley why I haven't bought the first Venom too. Loved it at first sight and still do,but it'll probably give my daughter nightmares,so I can't get it. I
like the new statue.

I'm digging this statue. I definitely want it. I still have the Wizard cover this was based on. I am a fan of Bart Sear's work, and I think this statue does a wonderful job of emulating the original art.

And if Randy does make this thing limited, like the Phasing Vision, I think it would be a mistake. This statue is worthy of a larger run.

I'm confused. How come they're releasing a second statue? Was Venom that good a sell for Bowen to warrant another? I like the pose of the first one but wasn't too fond of the base or mouth. I like this one better cause of the more simpler base. Plus, the mouth isn't as big. I will definitely pick this one up. Looks like my FS Spider-Man will have a companion!

man you gotta leave that tongue in that in my option makes Venom look all that more vicious...Maybe Randy could make a small run without the tongue.

Here's a sneak peek my buddy is sculpting this for me will be a mini bust on a stone base/pillar with some Egyptian hieroglyphs maybe something like "WELCOME TO THE BEGGING OF THE END"

Understand why they are releasing this statue. Great scupt and timed for the movie. However, I will pass. I am trying to cut down on multiple versions of a character due to space concerns.

I don't collect the Bowen statues but I thought that the first Venom looked great when I saw it at Newbury Comics. This one looks like it will be awesome.

I have been tempted to start a bust collection, though. I love how some of the new ones look. Not that the older ones didn't look good, but some of the newer ones; Beta Ray Bill, Black Panther, Abomination, Absorbing Man, Sandman, Kingpin, Tirga... Wow. They look amazing. I'm already collecting so much stuff, though. :rolleyes:

Maybe I'll just get a few... :eplus2:

they havent even painted it yet , that is still the unpainted version, maybe even the one he was working with

I mostly collect Star Wars statues and busts. I had been collecting Marvel Legends figures but got bored with them. Decided to collect the Hard Hero Marvel statues because the line just started. Now I'm thinking about getting some of the Bowen busts, too, since some of the earlier big name characters are getting resculpts.

I agree with you brother if it's painted in the glossy black it might take way some of the amazing details on the statue........

I'll be getting this one too...for the Venom/Carnage shelf already in place...has Bowen Venom Statue and MB, Carnage MB, Venom & Carnage Attakus, Attakus Carnage fullsize, Venom and Carnage 12" "doll" figures from Medicom, Venom & Carnage Art Asylum busts, Spidey/Venom/Carnage pin set, Venom & Carnage Heroclix, and a customized Venom and Carnage Heroclix set...all overlooked from the top with that wild full-face rubbery Venom mask...

Hey, if you can't over-do it, don't do it at all! :D
