I need advice concerning the paint on the Black Widow FS.

The Black Widow remains one of my favorite female former russian spies who is an Avenger and as such, I was always interested in picking up the Bowen FS. I thought the promotional pics were great. When I first saw the statue in front of me, I was disappointed about her costume. The lighting on the promotional / box pics made it look a lot better than the actual flat black paint job.

My question is, now that I have one in my possession do you think it is worthwhile to have her re-painted inorder to look more like the promotional pic? Alternately since I'm paying for a re-paint anyways, is there anything else that could be done with the Widow?

I had mine repainted years back for the exact same reason. I posted a couple of pictures in the Customs, one-offs, re-paints, and other! thread, but the pictures came out pretty dark. I'll try to take a couple more pictures later on see if I can get something better. I love how mine came out - it has a somewhat lighter blue than the one you have in the first picture but I really like it.

How about a metallic cobalt blue? I think that would look outstanding.

That was the type of texture I was hoping for. I wonder if it can be done?

I think a decent lighting display would be better Tetra.

That was the type of texture I was hoping for. I wonder if it can be done?I don't see why not ... some simple masking and a bit of airbrushing .. it's not chrome or anything, so I don't think it will need any huge amount of priimer.

I think it is a great piece as is. I gave my signed piece to my niece for a birthday present, and will someday pick another up for myself.

You can always use colored lights near your display to help with the effect. It would be a lot cheaper than a custom paint job.

Do you believe the statue on the box cover is the same paint as the other one and that lighting is the only difference?

I wish it was dark cobalt blue but I'm not going to have two of them repainted now...

RX that does look better! Not only is the gloss on her suit great looking, but I like how her skin tone was done... :buttrock:

Not a bad idea but I prefer Natasha in this outfit with the longer hair.

If I thought the pose suited it, I would get her customized into this. :)

Natasha always looked better with long hair.
While she always had sex appeal, her trademark has also ben that flowing red hair...

BW fans should read Marvel fanfare 10-13 by Perez.

BW is one of my favorite characters as well. I'm satisfied with the factory paint job, but after seeing that repaint, I may pick another one up and have it customized as well. I'd also like to see if I could get longer hair on her.
